Somehow the hybrid of "redneck" and "hippie" is a laughable combination for me.
Although I got a hint of there being hippies in Texas reading about the birth of the
underground movement.

Several of the founders of Ripoff Press apparently started in Texas before venturing out to California.
One thing I'll say about California, I found it remarkably easy to meet girls there, relative to Florida. In Florida, girls develop an attitude when you're friendly, guarded. Shields up!
In San Diego, I'd just have a conversation in line shopping or in a restaurant, and before they left, they'd give me their phone number to call them. I didn't even ask!
On my flight out to San Diego, the plane wasn't very crowded, and I noticed a very pretty brunette sitting a few rows up from me. So with the open seats, I walked over and sat next to her, and she was very flirtatious and receptive. She was the first to give me her phone number, and even invited me to stay with her where she came from (Colorado? I can't recall where she was flying from.)
Then as we were walking off the plane, she said she had to go, that it was nice meeting me, and to call her. From about 40 feet away, I saw her meet her boyfriend and give him a great big kiss!
