full documentary, on YouTubeI'd previously seen "Obama: 2016", and just purchased and viewed "2016" and the newer "America" one, getting pumped up for his soon to be released documentary on Hillary Clinton. Even though I could view them free, I wanted to financially support them.
"America" in particular I thought laid out well the anti-American Left's case against America, and did a good job deconstructing the false arguments, and the deeper reason (Cultural Marxism) for the Left's wish to tear down the U.S. with false arguments. Pretty good overview and counter-argument, within the confines of a 90-minute documentary.
I prefer written arguments, but the reality is, a documentary like this will reach a far wider audience than any book on the subject I'd recommend.
My only complaint is that he doesn't specifically name cultural Marxism at its source. The documentary cites Saul Alinsky and his book RULES FOR RADICALS as the battle plan and center of the Left's deliberate deception and overthrow of our constitution and capitalist economy. And of Alinsky's two ultimate disciples, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. But it ignores generations of Cultural Marxist thought that Alinsky sprang from, that Alinsky's tactics expand on. I still think the clearest overview is in Pat Buchanan's DEATH OF THE WEST, in the chapter "Four Who Made a Revolution".
This is the first video I've seen that shows Saul Alinsky, speaking in his own words, discussing his tactics in vintage interview footage.
I also liked that D'Souza laid out not just the threat, but also offered a defense of the U.S. (and of Western culture, of European colonialism to some degree), and an optimistic vision of how to defeat socialism. Basically by using daylight as disinfectant.
I'll never understand the Left's eagerness to believe the worst about their own country. Barack Obama's mother was such a self-loathing liberal. As are Obama and Hillary. A danger to the nation, so long as they breathe air.
