A nice and wide-ranging overview of Ukraine internal politics, of Ukraine's historic domination by Russia, European NATO reaction to a possible Russia invasion, Biden's sabre-rattling to exploit the situation politically, the Biden-caaused U.S. decrease in oil production to short-supply Europe AND OURSELVES. Europe's increasing dependency on Russian-supplied energy. And the U.S. pushing for Europe to deal with Russia/Ukraine mostly on its own, because the U.S. will have a greater threat dealing with China, and if Europe doesn't prioritize its own defense buildup, China will end up conquering not just Taiwan and the U.S., but after that Europe as well.
Not mentioned, I've also often thought Russia is suicidal to ally with China, because if China knocks out the U.S. as a Pacific power, China will in the not too distant future also take the Siberian regions of Russia. If you look at historic maps over the last 400 years or so, there is a historic back and forth between Russia and China, and much of Siberia was seized from China. As Russia is right on China's border and feels that vast territory is historically theirs, it's a sure thing they will be coming to take it back at some point, when China feels militarily strong enough. It's in Russia's interest to reach a balance of power aligning with the U.S. and Europe, to contain China's expansionist ambitions, because they share a vast border with China, and history shows that border is very easily invaded.
