What I think is a bit misleading is that most of these actors were part of an ensemble cast for one or several blockbuster film franchises, such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel "universe" series films, Game of Thrones, Pirates of the Carribean, Jason Bourne series, or others. So most of these particular actors are not the highest grossing by their own tour de force performances, but as a random part of work mostly shaped by others, that can't really be attributed to just them, or even at all to them.

A lot of actors I'd go along with rightly being on the list, such as Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise, Liam Niesen, and Tom Hanks.
But many others I wouldn't have picked. I think the biggest surprise on the list was Samuel L. Jackson.
