Jim Jordan is failing at the speakership and the Kraken Lady just flipped. Cry harder as you ruin the party further.
That's just 22 establishment deep state Republicans, having a hissy fit and taking revenge on the ACTUAL Republican conservatives in the House, spitefully depriving them of voting Rep. Jim Jordan in as speaker, who SHOULD be speaker, who REPUBLICAN VOTERS want in as speaker.
And by doing so, these 22 are screwing over the will of the Republican voters who elected them.
They did the opposite of what their voters want.
Rep. Matt Gaetz rightly said it was a clear manifestation of existence of the deep state, defying the will of the people.
Eventually this faction of Republicans will stop playing games, and select someone who will be a more conservative alternative to Kevin McCarthy or Steve Scalise, both of whom want to go soft on investigating criminal actions of he FBI regarding surveiling/weaponizing the FBI against Trump on behalf of he Democrats. That new Speaker pick should have ended with the vote for Jim Jordan, and there are other conservative choices beyond Jim Jordan, but the RINO games are just prolonging it a bit.
Kevin McCarthy with-held funding for campaigns of several ACTUAL conservative house candidates in the Nov 2022 electtion, or Republicans would have a larger majority now
(Likewise Mitch McConnell with-held funds from Senate MAGA/conservtive candidates, such as Ron Johnson. Otherwise Republicans would have more SENATE seats as well.)
I'm glad McCarthy is gone. And these prolonged antics are just the McCarthy-establishment wing having their revenge by rejecting Jim Jordan's speaker bid, to stick it to those who voted out McCarthy and wanted Jordan. Bu whoever gets selected eventually will be more conservative and effective than Kevin McCarthy was as speaker.
