. That's funny, Harry Baals, the twice-elected 1940's mayor of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Even in the more "gee whiz" days of the 1930's and 1940's, there's NO WAY people didn't see the hilarious double-entendre meaning to that name. They probably voted for him BECAUSE of that name. As an aside note, just pointing out the obvious for Democrats hyperventilating about that prospect, Elon Musk was born in South Africa and not native born. And therefore not eligible to run for president of the United States. Bu it is fun to see that level of enthusiasm for Musk, especially since until a nanosecond ago, Musk was a Democrat for his entire adult life, until their Marxist-Bolshevik authoritarianism, cancel culture, and their utter lack of common sense drove him away from the Democrat party. Which they hate him for now, even though most of them (like A O-C) sill drive Tesla cars. Their derangement syndrome over Trump is the same. They loved him for roughly 30 years when he was a Democrat and close friend of the Clintons, and celebrity host of The Apprentice. But the moment Trump thought for himself, changed his party affiliation to Republican and ran for president in 2015, they absolutely lost their minds, and never recovered.

I for one would be ecstatic to see the "Meatball" Memorial Library one day. But despite your accomplishments in life, sometimes, it literally comes down to what's in a name.
And for Fort Wayne, Indiana, that name came from their former mayor, Harry Baals.
Yes, it's pronounced exactly how you think, despite being only one letter away from a college fraternity prank. But Mr. Baals was actually a VERY well respected public figure in Fort Wayne in his heyday.
He was the longest-serving mayor of the city, and is seen as a man who helped revolutionize Fort Wayne, and bolster it to a profitable, and successful community in the region. He lowered city tax rates, launched construction projects for the city's underground sewage system, AND had the current sewage treatment plant built.
He was also a massive supporter of the troops, serving as Mayor from 1935 until his death in 1948. During the Great Depression, he organized war materials drives, upgraded city equipment and services, and broke ground on what is now Fort Wayne International Airport.
But his biggest accomplishment came when he elevated the Nickel Plate Railroad through downtown, which opened the north side of town for growth and development.
But even in the early 20th Century, his name was a bit comical, and even radio hosts would slightly change it. One newscaster, Bob Chase" would pronounce it more like "Bells" on air, but following one broadcast, Harry called in to correct Mr. Chase.
"Son, this is your Mayor. I pronounce my name 'Balls.'"
So given his legendary resume in the community, Mayor Baals definitely earned the right to have his name solidified in history, and an opportunity came when Fort Wayne was nearly finished with their new Government Center in 2011.
The city opened a voting poll for the community to help pick the name for their new government center. They asked for suggestions, and one of them was for former mayor, Harry Baals. As you can imagine, it took off, because who wouldn't want to honor one of the city's greatest mayors, right?
Well, some of them did at least. The voting went viral, and Mayor Baals received more than 23,000 votes, CLEARLY winning the top spot to name the building. But city officials weren't having it.
In fact, in one news story, the mayor at that time even admitted they never intended on picking the new name from whoever won the poll.
Despite people fighting tooth and nail to honor Mr. Baals' name on their new government building, the city got final say, and christened their new Government Center... "Citizens Square." Because, naming the government building after the people who chose a different name, and were told "no" is, of course, the logical choice.
For those that know, though, the TRUE Citizens' choice will always be the "Harry Baals Government Center."

Crime in Washington, D.C., is totally out of control. Local “youths” and gang members, some only 14, 15, and 16-years-old, are randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent Citizens, at the same time knowing that they will be almost immediately released. They are not afraid of Law Enforcement because they know nothing ever happens to them, but it’s going to happen now! The Law in D.C. must be changed to prosecute these “minors” as adults, and lock them up for a long time, starting at age 14. The most recent victim was beaten mercilessly by local thugs. The president’s message was accompanied by a photo of a shirtless young white man with blood on his face, who appeared to have been the victim of the assault.
On Tuesday afternoon, former DOGE team lead Elon Musk added more details to President Trump’s message, stating,
A few days ago, a gang of about a dozen young men tried to assault a woman in her car at night in DC. A @Doge team member saw what was happening, ran to defend her and was severely beaten to the point of concussion, but he saved her. It is time to federalize DC.
Trump corroborated that the victim was a DOGE employee during an Executive Order signing Tuesday afternoon, telling reporters:
Somebody from DOGE was very badly hurt last night—a young man who was beaten up by a bunch of thugs in D.C. Either they’re going to straighten their act out, or we’re going to have to federalize and run it the way it’s supposed to be run.
On social media, many speculated based on the man’s likeness in the photo shared by Trump that the unnamed victim could be DOGE’s Edward “Big Balls” Coristine, who was unfairly maligned earlier this year by the legacy media.

Edward Coristine – also known as "Big Balls" – is a great guy and a patriot. He was recently attacked by eight black teenagers, who the D.C. political class allows to rampage throughout the city. Totally unacceptable.

It doesn't look like Edward was targeted. From what I've gathered, the "youths" were attacking a woman in her car, and Edward intervened. Besides, do you really think the guys who attacked him could even tell you what DOGE is?

“Big Balls” reportedly resigned at the end of June following Musk’s exit.
If the reports are true, Big Balls has certainly lived up to his monicker.
Love that last line. No many guys would take on 8 guys already beating someone up. Outnumbered, he knew he was going to take a pounding for helping the woman in trouble, with no one around to back him up, and he did it anyway.
