Acting Social Security head quits after clash with DOGE - The acting head of the Social Security Administration (SSA) quit her job over the weekend after butting heads with the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), over efforts to access certain sensitive government records, according to reports.
The Washington Post reported that three people familiar with Michelle King’s departure said on Monday that she stepped down from her position after the disagreement.
In response to King’s departure, President Donald Trump reportedly appointed Leland Dudek to lead the agency as the president’s nominee to serve as commissioner of the SSA, Frank Bisignano, is vetted by federal lawmakers.
Principal Deputy Press Secretary at the White House, Harrison Fields, said they expect Bisignano to be "swiftly confirmed in the coming weeks."
"In the meantime, the agency will be led by a career Social Security anti-fraud expert as the acting commissioner," Fields said without naming the replacement. "President Trump is committed to appointing the best and most qualified individuals who are dedicated to working on behalf of the American people, not to appease the bureaucracy that has failed them for far too long."
The three individuals who spoke to the Washington Post on the condition of anonymity, reportedly told the publication that Dudek posted positive remarks about DOGE’s efforts to seek out fraud and cut costs across federal agencies.
The SSA did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on the matter.
Musk is leading DOGE to aggressively slash government waste when it comes to federal spending under President Trump. The department was created via executive order and is a temporary organization within the White House that will spend 18 months carrying out its mission.
One of the department’s most recent targets is the SSA, which was created by the Social Security Act under President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1935 and tasked with establishing a federal benefits system for older Americans.
As DOGE continues to find fraud and wasteful spending at SSA, Musk turned to X on Monday to say millions of people listed in a Social Security database are recorded as centenarians "with the death field set to FALSE!"

Quite a bit is selectively omitted from the CNN /AP version of events in the previous article, don't you think?
And as I've cited many times, "Factcheck", "Poliifact", and "Snopes" are all propaganda sites that front to be neutral factcheckers, but in fact are owned by several of the most Far-left newspapers, such as Washington Post, and the Tampa Bay Times.

There were an estimated 101,000 people over 100 years old in 2024 across the US, according to the Pew Research Center, most of whom you would expect to be receiving social security, considering it covers retired people.
...still doesn't account for the TENS OF MILLIONS of fake Social Security recipients itemized in my above quote of Musk and DOGE's exact statistics.
I added up the cumulative total of just the ones listed as over 100 years old, and I got
20,789,523.
And that's one hell of a lot more than just 100,000.
The oldest living person in the U.S. is 116 years old.
What about all these "vampires" listed as way older than that, still collecting Social Security checks?
And that's not even getting into federal loans given to people with birthdates that haven't even been born, or the rampant corruption at USAID , $60 billion paid out annually, that shut that agency completely down, where Marco Rubio has been assigned to take over the remnants of it , moved within the State Department.
Lee Zeldin at EPA, and the massive corruption he has found in his agency.
Or FEMA, weaponized to deny payouts to thousands of Trump supporters who lost their homes, just for having a Trump campaign sign on their lawn.
USAID alotted to Aftrican countries, that DOGE proved funds were paid out, but proved that money never made it to Africa, never left Washington DC, just was deposited in some connected Democrats' bank accounts.
Or the $ 2 billion paid out to Democrat-Bolshevik Stacey Abrams' fake environmental group. Interestingly, NOT EVEN MENTIONED in her Wikipedia listing.
Your post doesn't even begin to address these and more examples of
massive proven Democrat corruption and thefts, in the hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars.
And again, that is just the tip of the iceberg,
so far, that DOGE will continue uncovering. for at least 4 more years, long after Musk has now left, He just got it started, and got it large-scale media attention by having a part in it. But the gutting of this massive Democrat corrupt cooking of he books continues. In many cases, funneling cash back into the DNC and aligned Democrat/Leftist ally organizations.
THAT is why Democrats are so furious about DOGE, because it is rooting out corrupt funds in support of the Democrat party and its allies, that have been funneled off from federal agencies under fake account ledger allotments, in many cases for decades.
Such as how the CDC above Anhony Fauci cut off funding for "gain of function" viral research. And Fauci (in the CDC sub-department of NIH) just re-started the same program in the Wuhan Research Lab in China, funded under a fake listing, paid for by NIH federal tax dollars.
Or the same thing funding liberal media outlets like NPR, PBS, and even outlets like Politico and the Washington Post with fake "subscriptions" for tens of thousands of federal dollars paid annually.
Or similar funds allotted annually to private "humanitarian" organizations that helped smuggle 14 to 20 million illegal immigrants into the country from 2021-2024, that hese NGO humanitarian agencies transport throughout the entire United States through taxpayer funded programs, while also siphoning off a large amount of tha cash for their own profit.
If all these programs are shut down, and the Democrat party has to ( <gasp, choke>) win elections FAIRLY, WITHOUT all these deceptions and fake-ledger slush funds, the Democrats might never win another election.
