159 DEMOCRATS OPPOSE THE "LAKEN RILEY ACT" LEGISLATION TO DEPORT CRIMINAL SEX OFFENDER ILLEGALS. DEMOCRATS OVERWHELMINGLY SIDE WITH SEX OFFENDERS AGAINST CITIZENS

• The House of Representatives on Tuesday passed the Laken Riley Act, legislation requiring federal immigration authorities to detain illegal migrants committing theft-related crimes in the United States. The bill, named in memory of Laken Riley, a University of Georgia student murdered by an illegal immigrant, passed 264-159, with every Republican and 48 Democrats voting in favor.

  The act also allows states to sue the Department of Homeland Security for damages caused by illegal immigration. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson strongly criticized the 159 Democrats who voted against the bill, stating in a statement, “It is hard to believe after countless horrific stories like Laken’s, ANY House Democrats would vote against deporting illegal aliens who commit violent crimes against American citizens.”
  
  Riley’s killer, Venezuelan national Jose Antonio Ibarra, was convicted in November for her murder. Prior to the incident, Ibarra had been arrested for shoplifting but was released as [under the law at ha time] the charge was considered a misdemeanor.
  
  The act’s passage signifies a major Republican effort to prioritize immigration enforcement under the newly convened Congress. Speaker Johnson noted the broader message from voters in recent elections, emphasizing demands for secure borders and strict deportation policies.
  
  Georgia Republican Rep. Mike Collins, who sponsored the bill, highlighted its necessity during House floor debates, stating, “Right now, ICE is unable to detain and deport these illegal criminals who commit these minor-level crimes, but the Laken Riley Act will fix this.”
  
  Riley’s family has been vocal in their support of the legislation, describing it as a measure that could prevent future tragedies. “The Laken Riley Act has our full support because it would help save innocent lives and prevent more families from going through the kind of heartbreak we’ve experienced,” said her mother and stepfather, Allyson and John Phillips.
  
  While the bill received bipartisan support, opposition came largely from House Democrats, including Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, who argued the legislation risks detaining migrants wrongfully accused of crimes. “This is a radical departure from current law, which since 1996 has generally required mandatory detention only for persons who are criminally convicted or who admit to having committed certain serious crimes,” Raskin said during the debate.
  
  The act now moves to the Senate, where Republican Sen. Katie Britt introduced a companion bill supported by all Senate Republicans and Democratic Sen. John Fetterman. A Senate vote could happen as early as Friday.

• Seven House Democrats flipped their votes to “yes” on a GOP-led bill named after the slain Georgia student Laken Riley that would require detention of migrants arrested for theft.
  
  The Laken Riley Act became the first House bill passed this year, clearing the lower chamber in a 264-159 vote, with 48 Democrats joining all Republicans in support.
  
  The legislation was originally passed in the House by Republicans and 37 Democrats in March [2024], but failed to pass the Democratic-led Senate.

  Eleven new Democratic votes [for the Laken Riley bill] came from freshmen legislators, while four who voted in favor of the bill in March are no longer in the House: Colin Allred (D-Texas), Yadira Caraveo (D-Colo.), Matt Cartwright (D-Pa.) and Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), who was sworn into the Senate last week.
  
  Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) originally voted yes on the legislation but on Tuesday he did not vote.

So... ONLY the Democrats who did not have to get re-elected supported the Laken Riley bill, along with a few just-elected freshmen Democrats who supported the bill.

• Rachel Maddow offered a stunning rebuke to MSNBC over its decision to pull her colleague Joy Reid from its programming and how it is treating staffers who potentially face layoffs.
  
  Maddow took a moment on Monday night to address the "changes" being announced at MSNBC, reminding her viewers that "The Rachel Maddow Show" will revert to only Mondays at the conclusion of President Trump's first 100 days in office, but not all of her primetime colleagues will remain a result of programming overhaul.
  
  She specifically called the cancelation of "The ReidOut" in the 7 p.m. ET timeslot and Reid's exit from the network "very, very, very hard to take."
  
  "I am 51 years old. I have been gainfully employed since I was 12. And I have had so many different kinds of jobs, you wouldn't believe me if I told you. But in all of the jobs I have had, in all of the years I have been alive, there is no colleague for whom I have had more affection and more respect than Joy Reid," Maddow said.

  Very few at MSNBC have the job security of Maddow, who allegedly negotiated a whopping $25 million salary last year. But she went to bat for network staffers who she said were "really being put through the wringer."
  
  "Dozens of producers and staffers, including some who are among the most experienced and most talented and most specialist producers in the building, are facing being laid off, they're being invited to reapply for new jobs," Maddow said.
  
  "That has never happened at this scale in this way before when it comes to programming changes, presumably because it's not the right way to treat people, and it's inefficient and it's unnecessary, and it kind of drops the bottom out of whether or not people feel like this is a good place to work and so we don't generally do things that way," she added.

  "It is not news for me to tell you that the press and freedom of the press are under attack in a way that is really – it's a big deal for our country. It's very visceral for us here. I know that the business of the press is not an easy thing, and I know that no job is forever, but I think I'm safe in saying for all of us anchors who you know through the TV, please know that what pains us the most is not what happens to us. It is what happens to our coworkers on whom we depend, and who you don't necessarily know, but we respect and love them, and depend on them, and did I mention we respect them?"
  
  "This is a difficult time in the news business, but it does not need to be this difficult… Finding good people, good colleagues, doing good work with them and then having their back. That we can do a lot better on. A lot better," Maddow added.
  
  
  
  
  Maddow, perhaps emboldened by the fact her viewership trounces her MSNBC colleagues, has a history of taking defiant stances against her own employer. Last year, Maddow offered the most scathing response to NBC's decision to hire former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel, which was quickly reversed following the chorus of on-air backlash.
  
  She also took NBC to task in 2019 over its cover-up of the Harvey Weinstein scandal and how it forced its own journalist at the time, Ronan Farrow, to publish his 2017 bombshell reporting with The New Yorker, even booking him on her program to discuss his story.
  
  
  
  MSNBC's future remains unclear as its parent company, NBC Universal, is set to spin off the network and a slew of other sister channels to be its own standalone entity later this year. Meanwhile, its ratings have been in sharp decline and its programming has undergone drastic changes without juicing viewership.

It was THE DEMOCRATS who arrested reporters, to the point that even a 40-year New York Times reporter in the White House Press Corps said Obama's presidency was "the most control-freak" lockdown repressive administration he'd ever dealt with.
Spying on and going after White House staffers who spoke to the press like no administration before or since.

It was THE DEMOCRATS, not Trump, who for roughly the last 20 years have used their federal agency positions to go after Republican officials, and to go after thousands of grass-roots Republicans, weaponizing the IRS, the FBI, DOJ, ATF (under Trump, just merged days ago into FBI under just-confirmed Kash Patel, to instantly reign that agency in), in DEA (who probably will also be merged into FBI), in EPA (also reigned in, by just-appointed Lee Zeldin, already finding and shutting off $20 billion in corrupt slush-fund payouts, $2 billion of it earmarked for Democrat maniac Stacey Abrams, and $18 billion more to other liberal progressive slush funds).

Joy Reid's show (7 PM) at the time of its cancellation was averaging 59,000 viewers a night. Incredible that she stayed on the air EVEN THIS long (I think her current show started in 2020) .
For all the incendiary whoppers and continual blowback she got, for all the embarrassing proven lies and factual errors she made, clearly it was MSNBC network ideology that kept her on the air, because anyone else would have been fired long ago.
The same situation as Don Lemon. Because she checked off all the Leftist/progressive, [ ] black, [ ] woman and [ ] gay boxes, they were AFRAID to fire her.

All funny, but the last one hammers home that Tim Walz is the governor who didn't call in the National Guard when he should have in May 2020, just sat on his hands for 5 days as riots escalaed.
And emboldened, Antifa and BLM hen spread and went wild across 600 cities nationwide, killing over 25 people, injuring over 2,000 police, and racking up 3 billion in property damage, looting and burning whole blocks in countless cities.
And many of those businesses, and the thousands of jobs they provided, are never coming back.

And during the George Floyd riots nationwide, Kamala Harris posted a link to the Minneapolis Freedom Fund, advocating bailing these violent criminals out, the whole time they were looting and rioting, to do even more damage.

I saw a news report that in the Washingon DC area, since the election, the most common online keyword searches are for
"criminal defense attorney" and "statute of limitations".

That manifests a certain widespread consciousness of guilt, don't ya think ?

A couple of comments. Trump actually praised Governor Waltz’s response and use of the national guard to the rioting during the George Floyd protests. Trump now just lies and says he activated the national guard. He also set free those that violently attacked and injured law enforcement on January 6th. The Governor earned the Tampon Tim moniker from conservatives for making feminine hygiene available for free in schools to all menstruating students in restrooms. That included girls who identify as boys. So we have a President who lies about activating the national guard and campaigned on seeking revenge vs a governor that has been a true leader for everyone in his state. I have no doubt Waltz would also call a republican governor after such a horrible situation like MN experienced. Trump however made a big show of not calling but instead used the horrific event to insult gov Waltz.

And I don't mean CNN, Huffingon Post, DailyKos, The Atlantic, MediaMatters, Washington Post, New York Times, Politico, or other well-known propagandist front groups of the Democrat-Bolshevik party.

Because EVERYONE in the real world knows that Tim Walz sat on his hands for 5 days, and DIDN'T call the Minnesota National Guard as he should have, allowing the riots to escalate more each night, until Minneapolis rioters burned down an entire police station, and then further burned and looted FIVE SQUARE MILES of downtown Minneapolis, that should never have been allowed to burn.
And Tim Walz's wife gleefully as it occurred posted about being able to smell the burning tires of the rioters, cheering them on.

If Donald Trump actually did praise Tim Walz deploying his state's Minnesota National Guard, I recall the context being : FINALLY Tim Walz deployed the national guard, as he should have done the first day, to deter the rioting and looting that ended up occurring. And that Tim Walz only deployed the national guard because if he didn't, then president Donald Trump [May 2020] , 5 days in, made clear he would go over Walz's head and deploy them himself at that point.


That's pure propaganda. You KNOW, at least by this point, that at least 90% of the January 6th Capitol protesters were peaceful, did absolutely nothing wrong, and were maliciously prosecuted ONLY as a Biden/Democrat propaganda tool, to intimidate and silence any political opposition after a CLEARLY RIGGED Nov 2020 ELECTION (and I've cited the increasing volume of evidence repeatedly, and just the tip of a growing iceberg of evidence.

Starting with the 97% Democrat-donating weaponized FBI suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop in the 2 months before the Nov 2020 election.

And the "Twitter Files" Elon Musk released, further proving Twiter and other social media deliberately rigged the election by suppressing evidence, that even 15% of Democrats say they would NOT have voted for Biden in 2020, if they had known the information that was suppressed.)



Further, on January 6th 2021 there were at least 20 undercover FBI agents, at least 20 DHS agents, at least 10 DC Metro officers, at least 20 Antifa Salt Lake City activists ALL DISGUISED AS Trump supporters, agents provocateur, deliberately inciting and committing violence themselves.
Many of them, despite being identtifiable in Capitol security video and other video and photos, WERE NEVER IDENTIFIED by FBI, WERE NEVER ARRESTED.
And of the few cases of violence or vandalism that occurred THESE people, NOT Trump supporters, are the actual criminals.

When Trump gave amnesty to the majority of those jailed and prosecuted, it was exactly in this context.
They were innocent, and were forced by [ 97% Democrat ] FBI over-charging to confess to crimes they never committed, but were forced to sign confessions to, or face decades in prison due to [ 97% Democrat-voting FBI ] malicious prosecuttion and overcharging.
1100 of the 1500 or so arrested signed these confessions, just to end their Kafka-esque ordeal.
And when the 40,000 hours of security was finally released, suppressed by the Democrat Jan 6th Select Committee, suppressed for 2 and a half years for lying Democrat-propaganda purposes, it PROVED THE PROTESTERS' INNOCENCE, and VIRTUALLY ALL WERE RELEASED WITHIN DAYS

In point of fact, Trump did not pardon all of them, a few of them actually did commit violent offenses or vandalism, and these Trump did NOT pardon.



But there are dozens of other FBI and other federal agents, clearly videotaped and identifiable, that FBI, despite facial recogition technology that they used to identify every last peaceful ACTUAL Trump supporter they prosecuted.
These other people FBI could have identified but never did, have never been identified or prosecuted, because it was THE 97% Democrat-donating Trump-hating FBI's OWN GUYS who incited and committed much of the little violence that occurred, with the clear intent to frame Trump and his supporters.

A mentality at the Trump-hating FBI made clear in exposed messages back and forth between James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Kevin Clinesmih, James Baker, Bruce and Nellie Ohr, Bill Priestap, Andrew Weissmann, and at least 2 dozen others on the top floor of that 97% Democrat FBI.
AS mentality at the FBI made CRYSTAL clear.

And 5,000 of hose agents alone were devoted to prosecuting January 6th Capitol protesters, on any contrived charge like "trespassing" or "parading", turned into overcharged "federal crimes" tha bumped them up from a $300 fine for a piddly misdemeanor, into charges of years in prison.

I fail to see where Republicans' "Tampon Tim" nickname is at all misleading. Gov Tim Walz put tampon machines in boys' bathrooms, and since boys don't menstruate, that is absurd and ridiculous for Tim Walz to have done. Often put in bathrooms of elementary and middle school boys who had not even reached puberty yet, to lyingly brainwash boys, CHILDREN, with "woke" leftist transgender propaganda at a young age.

That is the full context of THAT false argument you raised.


And you didn't put enough context for me to clarify your slanderous point about ICE protests in L.A., on the silly allegation that ICE are somehow "nazis" for arresting criminal illegal aliens who have no right to be in the country in the first place (and the law that Tom Homan often cites, the exact paragraph of immigraation law enforced, cited repeatedly in television interviews. )
They are enforcing decades-long existing U.S. immigration law. Period, the end.

And further, since Democrat mayors and governors and judges in many blue states obstruct ICE doing their jobs, by not keeping these already arrested criminal illegals in local jails to turn over to ICE, ICE agents are forced to go into these neighborhoods, apartments, and workplaces, to track them down and arrest them.

As for allegations by Trump’s toady that writes children’s books depicting Trump as a king, let’s see what the actual evidence is. So far it’s an allegation and looks to me that instead of pursuing any criminal case Patel is just working the unverified allegations for its maximum partisan benefit. This is the political weaponized government Trump wanted and has gotten. One of the first things Patel wanted was a direct line to the Oval Office. He didn’t understand why there wasn’t one before him. An independent FBI is no longer an issue for you is it?

Trump and virtually every Republican Senator and House member FOR FIVE YEARS has been critical of then-governor Tim Walz as an irresponsible lunatic who let these riots go out of control and who sat on his hands and let it happen for way too long, until it was too late, let it continue for days escalating, even held back after an entire Minneapolis police precinct was burned down by rioters, while Tim Walz still did nothing to stop the escalating riots.
Then the next few nights after, the emboldened leftist mob looted and burned FIVE SQUARE MILES of Minneapolis.

And finally, FINALLY Tim Walz sent in his state's National Guard. And ONLY because President Trump was going to send in National Guard if Tim Walz didn't.



So in the context you try to hide, Trump praised Walz for FINALLY doing what he should have done days before.
And it was still too late.
Walz's delay emboldened the Soros-funded Democrat-Bolshevik left to spread their Marxist revolution to about 600 other cities nationwide, rioters ultimately injuring over 2,000 police officers, rioters killing 25 people, and racking up between $2 and 3 BILLION in property damage nationwide.
Tearing down statues of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and other historic U.S. figures nationwide, burning them, urinating on them, spray-painting hammer-and sickles on them.


But sure, M E M, you bet, Trump had the highest praise for Tim Walz, what an excellent job Walz did calling in the National Guard when he did.

it was more a case of "It's about frigging time." But the rioting had already spread nationwide, and it was too little too late on Walz's part.

And as I've pointed out many times, in the weeks and months AND YEARS after the nationwide George Floyd riots in at least 600 cities, no one in your piece-of-shit Democrat-Bolshevik party had any criticism of those riots, EVERY DEMOCRAT LEADER cheered it on.
Or a best went silent, as the mob went on on tearing down and burning the statues of out nation's heroes in cities nationwide.
Did Democrats object? Did they call on the mobs to stop?
Did they defend our nation's heroes, who statues these mobs were tearing down and destroying in dozens of cities?

  The digital deluge is a familiar annoyance for anyone on a Democratic fundraising list. It's a relentless cacophony of bizarre texts and emails, each one more urgent than the last, promising that your immediate $15 donation is the only thing standing between democracy and the abyss.
  
  The main rationale offered for this fundraising frenzy is that it's a necessary evil—that the tactics, while unpleasant, are brutally effective at raising the money needed to win. But an analysis of the official FEC filings tells a very different story. The fundraising model is not a brutally effective tool for the party; it is a financial vortex that consumes the vast majority of every dollar it raises.
  
  We all have that one obscure skill we’ve inadvertently maxed out. Mine happens to be navigating the labyrinth of campaign finance data. So, after documenting the spam tactics in a previous article, I told myself I’d just take a quick look to see who was behind them and where the money was going.
  
  That "quick look" immediately pulled me in. The illusion of a sprawling grassroots movement, with its dozens of different PAC names, quickly gave way to a much simpler and more alarming reality. It only required pulling on a single thread—tracing who a few of the most aggressive PACs were paying—to watch their entire manufactured world unravel. What emerged was not a diverse network of activists, but a concentrated ecosystem built to serve the firm at its center: Mothership Strategies.

  FROM PARTY INSIDERS TO EXTRACTION ENGINEERS
  
  
  To understand Mothership's central role, one must understand its origins. The firm was founded in 2014 by senior alumni of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC): its former digital director, Greg Berlin, and deputy digital director, Charles Starnes. During their tenure at the DCCC, they helped pioneer the fundraising model that now dominates Democratic inboxes—a high-volume strategy that relies on emotionally charged, often hyperbolic appeals to compel immediate donations. This model, sometimes called "churn and burn," prioritizes short-term revenue over long-term donor relationships.
  
  After leaving the DCCC, Berlin and Starnes effectively privatized this playbook, building a business around the party's most aggressive tactics and turning an internal strategy into a fundraising powerhouse for the Democratic Party—or so it might seem on the surface.
  
  They became the operational heart of a sprawling nexus of interconnected political action committees, many of which they helped create and which now serve as their primary clients. These are not a diverse collection of grassroots groups; they are a tightly integrated network that functions primarily to funnel funds to Mothership. Their names are likely familiar from the very texts and emails that flood inboxes: Progressive Turnout Project, Stop Republicans, and End Citizens United to name a few.
  
  The relationship between the firm and this network is cemented by blatant self-dealing. The most glaring example is End Citizens United. In 2015, just one year after founding their consulting firm, Mothership principals Greg Berlin and Charles Starnes also co-founded this PAC. It quickly became one of their largest and most reliable clients, a perfect circle of revenue generation that blurs the line between vendor and client.
  
  
  
  FOLLOW THE MONEY
  
  
  The core defense of these aggressive fundraising tactics rests on a single claim: they are brutally effective. The FEC data proves this is a fallacy. An examination of the money flowing through the Mothership network reveals a system designed not for political impact, but for enriching the consultants who operate it.
  
  To understand the scale of this operation, consider the total amount raised. Since 2018, this core network of Mothership-linked PACs has raised approximately $678 million from individual donors. (This number excludes money raised by the firm's other clients, like candidate campaigns, focusing specifically on the interconnected PACs at the heart of this system.) Of that total fundraising haul, $159 million was paid directly to Mothership Strategies for consulting fees, accounting for the majority of the $282 million Mothership has been paid by all its clients combined.
  
  But the firm's direct cut is only part of the story. The "churn and burn" fundraising model is immensely expensive to operate. Sending millions of texts and emails requires massive spending on digital infrastructure. For instance, FEC filings show this network paid $22.5 million to a single vendor, Message Digital LLC, a firm that specializes in text message delivery.
  
  The remaining hundreds of millions disappeared into a maze of self-reported categories: $150 million to consulting/fundraising, $70 million to salaries and payroll. There are some disbursements to what seem to be legitimate advocacy and organizing–for instance Progressive Turnout Project reports paying Shawmut Services $19 million for canvassing. However, most of the unclassifiable expenditures appear to be administrative costs or media buys that feed back into the fundraising machine itself.
  
  
  
  HOW MUCH OF THE MONEY RAISED BY THESE GROUPS ACTUALLY MAKES IT TO THE CANDIDATES AND PARTY COMMITTEES?
  
  
  After subtracting these massive operational costs—the payments to Mothership, the fees for texting services, the cost of digital ads and list rentals—the final sum delivered to candidates and committees is vanishingly small. My analysis of the network's FEC disbursements reveals that, at most, $11 million of the $678 million raised from individuals has made its way to candidates, campaigns, or the national party committees.
  
  But here's the number that should end all debate:
  
  This represents a fundraising efficiency rate of just 1.6 percent.
  
  Here's what that number means: for every dollar a grandmother in Iowa donates believing she's saving democracy, 98 cents goes to consultants and operational costs. Just pennies reach actual campaigns.
  
  
  
  WHY THE PARTY LOOKS THE OTHER WAY
  
  
  This parasitic ecosystem could not thrive without the tacit approval of the Democratic establishment. The relationship between the Mothership network and the official party is not adversarial; it is deeply symbiotic.
  
  The firm's founders are, as noted, alumni of the DCCC. They didn't just bring their contacts; they brought the "churn and burn" playbook, which was developed and honed inside the party's own campaign arm. They simply privatized the party's dirtiest tactics. This is not a rogue operation; it is an outgrowth.
  
  While the network keeps most of the money it raises, it maintains the relationship by funneling a small portion back to the party's central committees. Of the paltry $11 million that makes it to campaigns, approximately half goes to the DNC, DCCC, and DSCC. This provides the party with a trickle of revenue and plausible deniability, allowing it to benefit from the fundraising without taking direct responsibility for the deceptive tactics. In return, the network gains a veneer of official legitimacy.
  
  The infection runs deep. The firm's client list extends far beyond the PAC network to include the party's own heavyweights, like the House Majority PAC, and high-profile, establishment-backed candidates such as former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. The distinction between the party and this network dissolves with one final fact: the Democratic establishment itself is a client, actively hiring the firm at the heart of the vortex.
  
  
  
  THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY MUST CLEAN HOUSE
  
  The evidence from federal election filings permits only one conclusion: the “necessary evil” defense is a lie. A fundraising model with a 1.6% efficiency rate is not a pragmatic fundraising strategy.
  
  The financial waste, staggering as it is, pales beside the deeper damage. Every fabricated deadline, every manipulative text, every email screaming that democracy will end without your $15—each one burns through something more valuable than money: trust. The party that claims to defend democracy is systematically deceiving the very people who believe in it most.
  
  None of this, as far as I can tell, is illegal. But since when is legality the bar? The question isn’t whether the party can tolerate this parasitic ecosystem. It’s whether it should. And the data screams the answer: when consultants pocket $282 million, it reveals a system working exactly as designed—just not for Democrats.
  
  The prescription is simple. Cut ties with firms and any vendors that they do business with that treat donors as marks. Establish and enforce efficiency standards. Demand that fundraising operations deliver actual value to campaigns, not just commissions to consultants.
  
  Most crucially: Recognize that Democratic donors deserve the same honesty the party demands from everyone else.
  
  The party faces a choice. Continue feeding the vortex, or shut it down. Continue enriching consultants who’ve perverted its message, or reclaim its integrity. Continue treating supporters as ATMs, or start treating them as partners.
  
  A party that prides itself on taking the high road doesn’t get to make exceptions for its own fundraising. Not when the cost is this clear. Not when the damage is this deep.
  
  The numbers don’t lie. The Mothership vortex has consumed enough.
  
  Shut it down.

Out of all they fleece from loyal donors in fundraising, only 1.6% goes to the causes these donors actually contributing to support.

Any other organization than the DNC, these people would be in jail. But because they're Democrats... perfectly okay !
