. There are a few words I've heard since roughly the Nov 2024 election, and maybe prior, on several news networks, that are never clearly defined, and I can only approximate what they're supposed to mean. wheel houseI've heard both conservative and liberal networks use this term, saying this issue is "a wheelhouse for the Democrats", or "a wheelhouse for the Republicans", or "a wheelhouse for Trump". And although never clearly defined, I interpret to mean an issue or incident that plays to their strengths, or gives that side the political advantage or high ground. But I have no idea what its origins or precise meaning is. Possibly a slang term that emerged from baseball, and was applied to political players. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheelhouse Nepo-baby ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepo_baby ) One could just more precisely say nepotism (which originates from the corrupt practice of Italian political leaders over the least 200-300 years appointing their nephews to cushy high positions in the government they lead ( nepo being the Italian word for nephew) . The example most in the news lately is the Democrat Marxist (euphemistically described as "Socialist") candidate for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani. He's 33 years old and yet has only worked about 3 years of his life, he is the son of wealthy parents, apparently his mother makes a ton of money making Hollywood movies. He is a failed rap musician, and lives in a multimilliondollar apartment in Manhattan that his mother provides for him. He wants to tax the rich to pay for everything, and yet he is the definition of the idle entitled rich who never earned it. In an interview, Mamdani was asked about running for mayor, and he plainly said that he probably couldn't run for office if it wasn't for his wealthy family, that it costs a ton of money, and if his mayoral bid is not successful, that's okay because he won't have campaign debt and can just continue to live well off family money. Mamdani has vocally said he wants as mayor to de-fund the police, and says that prisons serve no purpose and are obsolete. And yet he had TWO expensive weddings with the bride he just married, one in another country, and now a second ceremony in the last few days in Uganda, the last expensive celebration protected by 20 heavily armed private security guards. So armed protection and prisons for threatening people are apparently only obsolete if you're the middle class or poor, but rich Democrat / Marxists apparently NEED protection. And in addition, when someone online posted about seeing a New York City police officer crying and grief-stricken in his police car, and concluded "LMAO", Mamdani gleefully exulted in that this police officer was grieving. https://dailycaller.com/2025/07/29/...ni-aoc-chuck-schumer-kirsten-gillibrand/Wikipedia lists its own nepo-baby examples, the ones that come to mind for me are Zohran Mamdani, and Hunter Biden. And from before the term existed, George W Bush falls in this category (who someone wrote a book about during his presidency, titled Fortunate Son.) But in both political families and Hollywood families, there are thousands of examples to choose from.

. "Quiet Quittng"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work-to-rule#Quiet_quittingAnother bad idea from the Left : - Quiet quitting is a specific, often spontaneous or grassroots application of work-to-rule tactics.[13][14] Despite the name, the philosophy of quiet quitting is not connected to quitting a job outright, but rather, employees avoid going above and beyond the call of duty by doing the bare minimum required and engage in work-related activities solely within defined work hours.[15] Proponents of quiet quitting also refer to it as "acting your wage",[16] or "calibrated contributing",[17] and say that the goal of quiet quitting is not primarily to disrupt the workplace as part of an organized movement, but to avoid occupational burnout and to reassert autonomy and work-life balance on an individual level.
There are no verifiable sources as to who coined the phrase.[18] It was also thought to be inspired by the tang ping ('lying flat') movement that began in April 2021 on Chinese social media and became a buzzword on Sina Weibo.[19][20][21] Later that year, Chinese Internet users combined tang ping with involution, a process researched by American anthropologist Clifford Geertz in his 1963 book Agricultural Involution. The book gained attention in the late 1980s from social sciences research about China which led to the term "involution" gaining great attention in China.[22] In 2020, "involution" became one of the most commonly used words on Chinese-language media, where it is used to describe the feeling of exhaustion in an overly competitive society.[23][24]
After tang ping became a buzzword and inspired numerous Internet memes, business magazine ABC Money claimed it resonated with a growing silent majority of youth disillusioned by the officially endorsed "Chinese Dream" that encourages a life of hard work and sacrifice with no actual life satisfaction to show for it.[citation needed] An editorial published in the journal of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers defined quiet quitting as a rejection of "hustle culture" and the belief that value of work is intrinsically tied to number of hours.[25]
Though the term is recent, the ideas behind quiet quitting are not and go back decades.[26] The phrase "quiet quitting" became popular during 2022 in the United States, mostly through the social video platform TikTok.[27] In 2022, quiet quitting experienced a surge in popularity in numerous publications following a viral TikTok video,[28] which was inspired by a Business Insider article.[29] That same year, Gallup found that roughly half of the American workforce were quiet quitters.[30]
Industry observers argue the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the social movement of quiet quitting, with a resurgence in labor sentiments among Generation Z as a result of the economic fallout.[31] A 2021 survey conducted by the American Psychological Association revealed that forty percent of American workers surveyed intend to change jobs, which the report attributed to lack of compensation for the amount of stress and burnout endured.[32] In 2023, a trend called quiet cutting was seen where employers would reassign rather than lay off employees, suggesting a possible shift in workplace power.[33] It is possible that conscious quitting might follow quiet quitting.[34][35]
So basically, it's being a lousy and unproductive employee, rationalizing you're doing it as part of some kind of quiet underground Leftist political "resistance" movement. Until your boss not-so-quietly fires you for being a bad employee.

. suicidal empathyMisplaced sympathy from those on the Democrat/Left, where they continually side with domestic criminals, criminal illegals, illegal immigrants, foreign enemies, drug cartels, human traffickers, ideology driven murderers like Luigi Mangione or the Tsarnaev brothers, and the homeless, over the people they prey on. To a level that it could undermine and collapse our national sovereignty, and across similar liberal/Left nations worldwide, the collapse of human civilization. I've only been hearing this term for about 2 weeks now, but it perfectly describes the mentality behind it, and the danger it poses to our future. Here's the latest example I've seen in the news... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crim...ut-another-black-man-in-jail/ar-AA22RDNtWoman refused to press charges after alleged assault because she didn’t want to put another Black man in jail by Mark Tanos, Daily Caller
A young woman who declined to help prosecutors after a violent subway encounter now says her silence cost a stranger his life.
She and a friend were riding a Manhattan train on April 2 when Rhamell Burke struck up an unwanted conversation, the 23-year-old told the New York Post (NYP). When the pair tried to escape into another car, the 32-year-old followed and allegedly yanked her head downward in an attempt to slam her to the floor and kicked her friend in the back, she said. Officers happened to be standing nearby when they fled at the West 4th Street-Washington Square Station and arrested Burke on the spot.
Despite the violence, she walked away from the case rather than work with prosecutors, she told the NYP. Her reasoning, she said, was racial. “Maybe a part of me was just like, I don’t want to put another black man in jail, but, you know, at some point, if you are a criminal, you’re a criminal, and he was scary, he was a scary guy,” she told the outlet. That choice now haunts her. Burke was charged with murder Friday after allegedly shoving 76-year-old retired teacher Ross Falzone down a staircase at the 18th Street subway station Thursday night, the NYP reported. Falzone died at Bellevue Hospital hours later.
“I regret it 100% and I actually feel really bad that a man lost his life,” she told the NYP.
Her April 2 case ended with Burke walking free. Prosecutors requested $3,000 bail, but a judge granted him supervised release instead, according to the New York Daily News (NYDW). It was one of four arrests Burke had collected since February, with each case ending in release without bail or under supervision, the outlet reported.
Officers picked Burke up again hours before the deadly shove, after he was seen acting erratically outside the 17th Precinct, ABC7 New York reported. They drove him to Bellevue at 3:39 p.m. for a psychiatric evaluation. Staff cleared him by 4:39 p.m. He killed Falzone about five hours later, ABC7 reported.
Falzone’s brother-in-law Richard placed the blame squarely on the system. “The State of New York is responsible for this tragedy,” he told the NYDW.
The 23-year-old "young woman' 's name is not given. But if anyone ever deserved to be doxxed... But hey, what's the point. There are tens of millions more like her in this country, and worldwide. She, or the millions like her, wouldn't get the point of doing that. __________________________________ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicidal_empathyOh, of course ! The Left dismisses use of the term as "racist", "white supremacist" and "white nationalist", to label those who use the term, and shut down its widespread usage. Wikipedia (which is to say George Orwell's Newspeak dictionary ) demonizes and discourages use of the term. Y'know, I've been a self-described Republican conservative since 1980, about 47 years, and having spoken to literally thousands of other conservatives over all those years, I've never once met one who described themself as a "white nationalist" or a "white supremacist". Those terms and that mindset are completely an invention of the Democrat /Left, to falsely demonize their conservative opposition. But then... what would you expect from the Democrat Party, that was the party of slavery, the Confederate South, Jim Crow, segregation, and the Ku Klux Klan? And into the present, the party of race extortion, racial polarization manufactured and stoked for their party's political gain (and for the nation's detriment) . And especially over the last 10 to 15 years the party of anti-Semitism and violent attacks on Jews nationally. Point of fact: NONE of this was happening before Barack Obama became president. This is all the byproduct of Obama introducing Saul Alinsky's Rules For Radicats to national politics, for which the Cultural Marxists in the Democrat-Bolshevik party just find the easiest and most effective weapon to exploit. And for Democrats, the hatred and violence that their policy stokes, the riots, the injuries, the murders nationwide, Democrats don't care about these people, they are just the nameless stepping-stones to achieving Democrat-Bolshevik power.
