He replaces with someone that is a highly partisan Trumper and inexperienced. Would I have a problem if a democrat president had tried doing something like this? Yep.
And people know when the economy isn’t going well so fake numbers won’t help Trump.
As I've cied in detail, multiple high-level economists have FACTUALLY made the argument that former BLS staistician McEntarfer was consistently wrong and was way off on the monthly jobs statistics over her almost two years in the posiion.
And that's not even going into similar manipulations of the monthly numbers when Barack Obama was president, by BLS.
If you bothered to read BOTH articles I took the time to post, both cite a number of economists and high-level economic experts, in both articles some are critical of Trump for firing McEntarfer, others praising the decision
The first from liberal-media Yahoo is more one-sidedly against Antoni being hired for BLS, but others praised firing McEntarfer as a good decision by Trump, and the need to shake things up in a monthly reporting system that for many years is consistently at least 50% innaccurate. Whether by simple incompetence, or by deliberate Democrat-weaponized design to help Democrats and hurt Republicans. The numbers are consistently off by as much as 50%.
Steve Moore (linked above, who is himself a potential replacement for Jerome Powell to head the Federal Reserve) made a strong case for firing McEntarfer.
And others have praised Antoni as a well-selected replacement, new blood, who will change BLS data-gathering methods to be more accurate when first reported every month, so there aren't dramatic revisions needed every month just 2 or 3 weeks later. Antoni wants to improve and modernize source-gathering, to get it right the first time. The opposite of just giving Trump favorable numbers every month, as you baselessly allege. That's the Democrat-Bolshevik way, not the Trump way.
