I wasn't being literal. I was talking about all the people getting canceled for their comments seeming like Republicans having their payback for the late 10s and early 20s.
I'm all for the firings. What these people said and did, dancing and gloating in posts and videos that Charlie Kirk, or anyone, was shot in the Carotid artery and bled out in a minute, enjoyed it, cheered it on, is beyond disgusting.
I've watched 20 yearss of Democrats gloating about the deaths of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Tony Snow, William Renquist, Rush Limbaugh, on and on for 20 years. I have NEVER seen Republicans similarly gloat and cheer and pile on the hate for a Democrat who has died. And in many cases, I think Democrats feel glee at deeply hurting the wives and surviving families of those whose deaths they gloat about, and say stuff like "I hope he's burning in hell right now..."
And all Republicans did regarding the posts about Charlie Kirk's death was inform employers what these people said and posted online. it was completely the decision of employers to fire them, or to suspend them, or to ignore the incidents. These employers fired them because of how horrible these posts and videos are. And even if these companies had no conscience about an employee saying these things, they could have just fired them for the pragmatic reason that these posts were SO disgusting to half their business client base, and NOT firing them would be an outrage that would lose each of these businesses half their clientele.
And it's not like these people just said
Well, I'm on the other side and I wasn't a fan of Charlie Kirk. That would have been okay.
But instead they gleefully celebrated that he was killed, and even cheered on the graphic way he was ripped open and bled out. Another aspect I saw discussed by a prosecutor is that the tranny shooter fired on Charlie Kirk in the middle of a dense crowd of 3,000 students where he almost shot others next to Kirk, or shrapnel could have hit others after the bullet went through Kirk. And a prosecutor discussed possibly adding a charge for that endangerment.
I think a terrorism charge is also appropriate, the shooting was clearly intended to intimidate and silence Charlie Kirk and Trump supporters. And that is the very definition of terrorism.
