I liked the Valient line, they were well writen and nicely illustrated, and definitely not the same as what everyone else was doing in comics in that era.
My local comic shop dealer (who's been in business since 1981, since almost before I even knew there was such a thing as comic stores) said prices are going up on the Valiant back issues from the 1990's, because a lot of people are discovering them and seeing how good they were, and still are.
