I'm a bit late this year listing Halloween offerings, but it's still the end of Halloween weekend, so here goes.

LEGION OF SUPERHEROES 49 (4th series, cover-dated Nov 1993).
Mater-Eater Lad visits he world of Tartarus, that is a fun quirky Addams family / Nightmare Before Chrismas kind of world, where spooky but fun stuff happens. A funny one that's been among my favorites for many years. Written by Tom and Mary Bierbaum, with art by Darryl Banks, Stuart Immomen, and inked by Pam Eklund.

"Dracula", an atmospheric and powerfully written horror story by Stephen Perry, with art by Steve Bissette / John Totleben, in what was their first art collaboration together, before they immediately after went on to become famous doing SWAMP THING wih Alan Moore. I love the way it develops Dracula's predecessor (Varnae) as being drenched in millennia of expanding evil and death, up to the time that power is unleashed into Dracula. It's an ambitious story, that fully lives up to expectations, with many wonderful twists.
