saturday, july 24th - 1:00 pm
so here we are on this beautiful, happy saturday. the day starts off all smooth and nice. we're really in no rush, because we have a few hours til i gotta get her home. we take a brief walk around the boken and see whats happening.
its an unusually nice day outside. the weathermen had been saying rain for days, seemingly weeks. but here we are, on the verge of some glorious sun. i mean, sure, the early morning was gray and cloudy, but my mid day, there was blue sky everywhere. screw you, al roker! ... especially the fat al roker!
soon enough, tho, it was time to gather our things n'head over to lex's. i wasn't sure what i was gonna do -- maybe laundry or just watch tv. i was also trying to set up plans for the evening.
like, mebbe we could go to a strip club or out to dinner someplace nice or ... i dunno, something. just a chance to enjoy the day -- carpe diem! or, if at the strip club, carpe diane! whatever, y'know?
regardless, i made the most of it. for the duration of the trip to her house, i quizzed alexis on her knowledge of the teenage mutant ninja turtles. ... her attained information was embarassing.
for 10, maybe 20 minutes, she continually got all the facets of the ninja turltes wrong. donatello's the leader? michelangelo wears blue? leonardo has nunchucks? ... NO! no no no!
for shame, miss johnson.
for whatever reason, hearin her guesses was pretty fun, for both of us. made the trip go by purdy fast.
finally, i pulled 'round the final corner to her house and was getting ready to park. but it looked like there was a buncha stuff in the way, like i couldn't even get around it...
