How is it? Does it justify the increased price?

it is a very, very awesome Nintendo switch. if you don’t have a switch, absolutely get NS2.
buuuuuuuut…. if you already have a switch, it’s not the easiest justification to get the new one. not yet. it’s way mightier, old games run way better, wider access to previously PS/Xbox-only titles, and new Mario kart and DK are fun as hell, sure. but there’s a switch 2 library to justify a $500 upgrade. not yet.
(I’m a fanboy, so they’d get my money regardless!)
there’s a Nintendo direct this week, so maybe they’ll announce a buncha stuff to address that.

It’d be nice if their games ever got cheaper. Freakin 8 year old Switch games are still $60.

yeah, Nintendo isn’t great at discounts over time (hell they just RAISED the price of switch 1!)
though it is a bummer that we’re now starting to see 70 and $80 games across the board… It is somewhat impressive that video games have stayed relatively stable in terms of pricing for the last 30 to 40 years.

Welcome to the Switch 2 team, Gob! I actually got mine at launch and Mario Kart and the LoZ S2 Versions were enough to keep me happy as they rolled out more games. Even having the choice of a WWE game is fairly mind-blowing after all these years.

monday, july 26th - 2:00 pm
monday put me back at work. but that was completely fine, cuz i was still riding high from the weekend.
so high, in fact, that i was somewhat smooth during my office roaming. not so smooth as "still drunken rob," i dont think, but i had something goin on. enough to feel the confidence kick, which is a wonderfully lil diddy that courses through the soul.
anyway, for the most part, it was a regular day in a regular week. we worked. we lunched. we got ready to go home.
but on this particular way home, in the 11 flood elevator run, somethin strange would happen.
jon and i were waitin for the magical, vertically movin booth to arrive... when denitze comes around the corner, to join in the waiting.
now, our office is delightfully filled with many, many attractive girls, but denitze is sorta the untouchable one. ...mostly cuz she just doesn't talk to anyone. or seem to like anyone. ... like me.
granted, i don't talk to anyone, either. i mean, i want to, but... i'm just a sad, sad little cretin. ...whatever.
lemme tell my story, damnit!
anyway, she seems to be in a good mood, and i'm still flyin high, so we start talking a little. just normal stuff. you know, there's not all that much the three of us can discuss while waiting for and riding an elevator.
regardless, the conversations go well, and we hit the ground floor, ready to leave... we say "see ya" and she responds "nice to meet you!"
...
which would be great... if i hadn't already worked there for 5 months, and talked to her several times.
even worse for jon, who's worked there 2+ years.
more times than not, that sorta slap woulda stuck with me for awhile, but i pretty much started laughing instantly when she said it.
its a sad recap of "rob: the adventure"

hey, n64 didnt die like dat!
system had its flaws, but, its nintendo! most powerful gaming company, perhaps, in the existence of video games.
they had some great games. mario and zelda, for starters, were two of the greatest games ever! even living up to the standards the previous incarnations set up.
but, more importantly n64 had fun four player games. mario kart, golden eye, perfect dark, wcw/nwo revenge, etc, etc. definitly gave the system INCREDIBLE replay value. and, kep games fun and interesting, instead of just graphic-based games that die after you watch the movies 3 times.
------------------
i have spoken N64 was a pile of shit, Rob.
