Here's a fairly recent reprint collection of Corben stories, ROWLF AND OTHER FANTASY STORIES, just out a few months ago in late 2025.

I always thought there was a second issue of ROWLF (1971 underground issue) that I never found a copy of. But (God bless the internet ! ) It turns out what I thought was issue 2 was just a 2nd printing of issue one with a new cover (2nd printing cover shown above, and collected in the new book).
The first printing cover, while I have it and enjoyed it, is a bit too Catholic/gohic/religious-looking, and I don't think it accurately represents the interior story, a future post-apocalyptic story with mutants and anthropomorphic genetically altered dogs.

There are several other recent re-releases from Dark Horse of Corben's early 1970's underground work, either pending or already out. And I was going to post those titles about a week ago, but misplaced them and don't have that information in front of me now.

While the ROWLF collection looks nicely formatted, I'm torn over whether to buy this new edition, because I have the originals of these stories, and already have several of them reprinted elsewhere as well. Not to mention being able to pull them up anytime on RealAllComics.com, and probably several other sites.
But I'm old school, I prefer to hold it in my hands.

There's also a CREEPY PRESENTS RICHARD CORBEN hardcover that collects most of Corben's CREEPY and EERIE work (circa 1970-1983) at a monstrous 348 pages. This would be a nice volume to pull out and read around Halloween time. As I recall, there are three Corben VAMPIRELLA stories that for some reason were not included.

( The VAMPIRELLA stories are reprinted in an earlier HEAVY METAL: THE BEST OF RICHARD CORBEN hardcover, published 1998, but does not include all Corben's CREEPY and EERIE work that is included in the Dark Horse hardcover collection.)

I bought the Dark Horse hardcover in 2012, and was surprised to see a new trade paperback version is due out soon in 2026.
