Jon Maples (R)..............48.8%......... 16,316
I'd love to know how many millions the Soros-Bolshevik Democrat Left spent in that tiny Florida state house district race, to narrowly win an election where a total of only 33,429 people voted, allowing this Democrat candidate to win by 797 votes, to claim some kind of great symbolic victory, for a Florida state House position that pays $26,697 a year.
Democrats do best when they operate in darkness, and in this case, probably a lot of people in that 87th district (about 157,000 people, a fraction of whom are registered to vote) didn't even know there was going to be a special election.
This is what voting for this district looked like in the normal scheduled Nov 2024 election, vs. this special election:
- Mike Caruso (R).......... 59.5%.....57,471
Sienna Osta (D).......... 40.5%.....39,151
The seat became vacant on August 18, 2025, after Mike Caruso (R) resigned from office following his appointment as Palm Beach County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller.
The special election drew about 33,000 total votes, as compared to about 96,500 votes in the regular 2024 election.
And there will be another regular scheduled election in Nov 2026, in about 8 months.

https://floridapolitics.com/archive...election-for-hd-87-in-palm-beach-county/- [Florida state] House Speaker-Designate Sam Garrison congratulated Maples on a hard-fought campaign, pledging a comeback campaign in the next General Election.
“Jon Maples ran an extremely strong campaign but ultimately came up short. Jon fought valiantly in the face of low Republican turnout due to awkward Special Election timing, and despicable, dark-money racial attacks from Democrat criminal defense lawyers pretending to be Republicans. I am proud to have Jon as our conservative standard bearer in Palm Beach. Today’s loss stings, but it does not deter him or us. We will learn from today’s results and see you in November.”
....Gregory criticized the GOP-led Legislature’s focus on curbing diversity, equity and inclusion programs, arguing that such efforts eschew more pressing economic challenges facing residents.
Her campaign reported raising about $176,000 directly, supplemented by roughly $82,000 in in-kind support. She has said her total fundraising reached $325,000 with additional help from a political committee.
Her endorsements include U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel, Florida Senate Democratic Leader Lori Berman and several local officials, as well as backing from a passel of labor groups and progressive organizations. She also received a boost from a recent virtual fundraiser hosted by Alex Vindman, the whistleblower behind Trump’s first impeachment now running to supplant Republican U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody, and congressional candidate Pia Dandiya, who is running to unseat Republican U.S. Rep. Brian Mast.
So Emily Gregory is not just some cheerful community-minded local mom focused on local middle-class issues. She is ideologically part of the far-Left Democrat-Bolshevik national political machine, and is deeply tied to some well-known and incendiary bomb-throwers in the Democrat party.
- ... Democrats characterized the HD 87 race as a “rare flip opportunity,” even as Republicans continue to hold a significant statewide registration advantage — a 1.48 million-voter edge statewide as of last month.
Across Palm Beach County, Democrats have a narrow but shrinking voter lead of about 13,000.
Out of a Palm Beach County population of about 1.5 million people.
