He actually used to be a democrat and I thought he was awful back then too.
He still governs like one it a lot of ways. The tariffs being a recent example.
I'd agree that Trump, on sociaal issues, in many ways still remains a New York variety Democrat. For example, his un-Republican-like support of gay rights, and other social issues. You could say that on his hiring minoriies to high-level positions as well, going in the Trump organizaion for 50 years. But in that case, he (unlike Democrats) doesn't hire them to high positions just because they are minorities despite being incompetent, he keeps them if they can do the job, and replaces them if they can't, as he would any white guy (or gal).
In the case of ariffs, Trump uses tariffs as a bargaining chip, that he uses for leverage, and doesn't intend to actually implement, or at most will implement for a short time if he has to, until the opposing nation caves in to his demands.
Trump is accused of being a "dictator" and using federal power against his political opponents. But no, Trump is using limited federal power, against those Democrat-Bolsheviks who weaponized federal power in the Obama and Biden administrations against THEIR Republican political opposition. So Trump is not "weaponizing" government, he
is punishing previous abuse of power in a measured way, rooting out those in Democrat administrations who
[b[actually did[/b] weaponize FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, USPS and other federal agencies against Trump and other conservatives, to restore neutrality and rule of law, and to restore universal public trust in those agencies.
But I suspect if Democrats ever regain power, they will instantly re-weaponize those agencies, before the public ever has a chance to regain trust in FBI, DOJ and other agencies.
Such is their hatred, and Democrat-Bolshevik fanaticism.
