The opposition may even score a super majority with constitution rewriting powers. This is a petty significant shift. Crowds were chanting Russia go home on celebration.

Great news! I’ll give him credit for conceding defeat.

Oh yeah, it's great news!
A WONDERFUL day for global Marxism and demographically killing Europe, the ONLY nation in Europe that (under Orban) had a sense of self-preservation, that guarded its borders and deported illegal immigrants, and proteced its cultural identity. As opposed to France, Germany, Spain, and any country in Scandinavia, that have each seen a tripling of rapes in their countries, thanks to Islamic immigrattion.
For openers.

What exactly is "great" about Orban being defeated?

Neither off you answered the question:

How does Orban losing the election benefit Hungary?
It just guarantees Hungary will be inundated by illegal immigrants, and lose its national identity and sovereignty.

His opponent, Magyar, who won the election, while ostensibly promoting himself as a "center-right conservative", is actually a Soros-funded EU / Globalist. Who rather than implementing centrist policy, will instead pander to the globalist Left, and ruin Hungary from within, duplicating the policy that has ruined the rest of the EU, inundated with Muslim immigrants who are colonizing invaders, not. immigants who will ever assimilate.
And that is precisely the plan of the Globalist /Soros Left.

I think no one in Hungary knows who the fuck he is, so J.D. Vance's speeches on Orban's behalf was a non-factor, that didn't help or hurt Orban's election chances.

If the people in Hungary don' know who J.D. Vance is, I don't know how that reflects badly on Trump.
Trump and Vance were a non-factor.

The analysis I saw by both a conservative and liberal reporter on a Fox News panel is, the economy is downturning in Hungary because of the war in Ukraine, tha Hungary has been economically damaged by high energy prices, that Hungary depended on oil and natural gas pipelined from Russia, and since the war began, that supply has either been interrupted or expensive. And since the rest of the leftist / socialist EU doesn't like Orban's immigration policy of strongly defending his borders, they are not helping him to get energy. So Orban has been trying to expand trade and energy suppliers to compensate and improve his economy.

The people in Hungary generally like Orban's policy, but after Orban being in power for an impressive 15 years, voters decided to give another center-right conservative candidate a chance. So the conservatives still won, but a slighly more moderate conservative. And the Left still was overwhelmingly defeated in the election.
If the center-Right party new guy doesn't perform, Orban might be elected back in 5 years.
