If the people in Hungary don' know who J.D. Vance is, I don't know how that reflects badly on Trump.
Trump and Vance were a non-factor.

The analysis I saw by both a conservative and liberal reporter on a Fox News panel is, the economy is downturning in Hungary because of the war in Ukraine, tha Hungary has been economically damaged by high energy prices, that Hungary depended on oil and natural gas pipelined from Russia, and since the war began, that supply has either been interrupted or expensive. And since the rest of the leftist / socialist EU doesn't like Orban's immigration policy of strongly defending his borders, they are not helping him to get energy. So Orban has been trying to expand trade and energy suppliers to compensate and improve his economy.

The people in Hungary generally like Orban's policy, but after Orban being in power for an impressive 15 years, voters decided to give another center-right conservative candidate a chance. So the conservatives still won, but a slighly more moderate conservative. And the Left still was overwhelmingly defeated in the election.
If the center-Right party new guy doesn't perform, Orban might be elected back in 5 years.
