I don't think Trump disagreeing on a minor point of how Israel conducts its war against Hezbollah in Lebanon is "turning on Netanyahu".

Trump is just saying to be more careful about taking out Hezbollah military targets, without also killing uninvolved civilians.

But I would argue with Trump, that Hamas, Hezbollah, and Fatah all deliberately surround their missiles and other military bases with civilians, such as hospitals or schools, to make it difficult for Israel to NOT harm civilians.

I recall when Israel about 20 years ago, after enduring missile attacks from Gaza for years, resolved to take out those missile bases in Gaza. But Hamas deliberately puts them in apartment buildings, hospitals, and schools. I was very impressed with how Israel handled this. They had the phone numbers for every single apartment in the building, and called every one, and said to each "There are Hamas missiles launched from your building, we are going to bomb it to the ground, you have five minutes to leave the building."

So with enough knowledge and preparation, Israel could accomodate what Trump is saying.

But the problem is, many of the "innocent" civilians are actually Hezbollah fighters or supporters. We saw that after the October 7th attacks, that many so called Gaza "civilians" were actually Hamas participants caugh on video, gleefully killing Israeli civilians. Some of those slaughtering Israelis were and are actually UNRWA relief workers.

Further, there have been many cases in multiple wars with Israel, where Red Crescent (islamic Red Cross) ambulances were secretly used to bring weapons and ammunition to Hamas and Hezbollah fighters.
So it is very difficult to separate militants from civilians in their war with Israel.
