Lindsey Graham died on January 11th, and it has completely eclipsed everything else in the news today. Hearing any senator called "the lion of the Senate" makes me a bit nauseous. Whether it is said of Ted Kennedy, Lindsey Graham, or whoever.
Graham's best moment was during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. He did some good, he was as often on the wrong side. I regarded him as a RINO. But at other times he was a vigorous conservative, but also could be a "which way is the wind blowing?" conservative, an unreliable conservative.
He abandoned Trump after the Nov 2020 election and bought into the Jan 6th false narrative, was going to be one of the Senators to join House members in challenging the 2020 Electoral vote count on Jan 6 2021, but chickened out and didn't follow through. And then reconciled and became a well-known Trump ally over the last 18 months.
