Again, thinking we can "supercharge growth" and cut our way out of this debt hole is why no one takes you seriously. Growth at that level especially means inflation and rising costs, you uneducated moron. Further, there's not enough discretionary spending there to make an effective dent. Defense, Medicare, and Social Security are on the chopping block or you're wasting your time.
And, before you try to defend their dumbassery further, watch Bessent get slapped around by the bond market and realize...we are fucked if we don't get real about this rather than pie in the sky "supercharged growth."
Would you agree or not, Iggy, that there have been previous tax raises, going back to Bush Sr in 1990, and Clinton, and Obama, and they have NOT in the slightest, decreased the subsequent annual deficits or decreased the cumulative debt, after imposed? That they have in fact enabled FURTHER trillions in deficit spending?

And you have Democrat-Bolsheviks running for office, such as Al Sayed in Michigan, who when questtoned, DOESN'T EVEN KNOW what the federal government takes in annually in taxes, and what it spends. Oh yeah, THESE people can be depended on to reduce The debt.
As I said, so far I'm disappointed with Trump regarding deficit reduction, but again, at least he and Bessent are talking about it, and discussing actual steps to reduce it.
No one else, either in the Republican establishment wing (who oppose Trump at every turn, who also opposed Reagan), and certainly not ANY wing of the Democrat-Bolshevik party, are expressing the slightest plan, or even desire, to reduce the debt or annual new deficits.
The full extent of Democrat policy is to say "Look, look! Trump hasn't reduced the debt!!", as they salivate over spending massive trillions more, on universal healhcare (that will bankrupt the system), healthcare for illegals (that will bankrupt the system), the next contrived "Green new deal" (that will bankrupt the system), reparations for blacks and other minorities (that will bankrupt the system), and other ways to further skyrocket the debt, NOT stop it.
NO discussion, by Democrats, by George Orwell's liberal media, or BY YOU, about how that debt exploded to new heights under Barack Obama, and even more so under Joe Biden. And Democrats can only think about new TRILLIONS in expenditures they want to further add on.
And again, I think that is precisely the plan on the Democrat side, to "overwhelm the system" and bankrupt it with new debt.
And amid a complete collapse and panic and chaos, they can use that chaos as cover to implement a socialist/communist system, where they have permanent total federal control. Cloward and Piven strategy, going back to the 1960's, Saul Alinsky tactics, and Wade Rathke as well.
The same plan they used to bankrupt New York City in the 1970's.
And the Democrat party has now morphed over the last 18 years into the Democrat-Bolshevik party, that is 50 times as crazy, and 50 times as evil.
