  • westinghouse 19" widescreen lcd monitor - $169.99: better than average price, but most people are springing for 22" these days. still, if you're tired of the crt dinosaur that's been eating up half your desk, now might be a good time to spring for this particular monitor.
  • olevia 37" lcd television - $699: again, a decent offering from a decent mid-market brand. gonna be hard to find this size television in a price range most brands sell 32- or even 26-inchers in.
  • philips progressive-scan dvd player - $39.99: a step down from last week's model, it's identical in every way except it lacks the hdmi upconvert. which may be a dealbreaker for some, but if you don't have a high-definition tv anyway, it's a decent buy for its ability to play pretty much any burned disc format and decode DivX video.
  • you can now get ahold of gta3 reservation cards, but target's generally pretty good with keeping enough software in stock on or near release date.
  • two models of lcd televisions went clearance at most stores in the region, but I wouldn't recommend them as they have integrated dvd players and you'll usually end up with a display model anyway. granted, floor models are another thirty percent off, but I wouldn't get one without also grabbing target's three-year extended service plan.

there you have it. not very spectacular, but getting closer to easter things should improve somewhat.
