Glad you can acknowledge that the assassin is a republican but even in the early days his conservative background was known. Conservative influencers however quickly went to work with whatever data points they could to make him look like a democrat. His friends and family saying he was a Trump supporter and his history of being a conservative was information that got in the way of the false narrative they were pushing.
That is, of course, a huge over-reach on your part.
This is a lone nut, whose murderous actions NO OTHER REPUBLICAN would endorse or support. He is a guy who for his entire life was a Republican conservative, but whose life and financial situation disintegrated in he last few years, and in a mentally unbalanced reach for meaning and purpose, tried to go out with a killing spree.
THAT's the difference between Republicans and the Democrat-Bolshevik party:
When a Democrat kills or attempts to kill Charlie Kirk, or Donald Trump (3 times now !!), or Trump is sich with Covid-19, or the Republican baseball game shooting, or Luigi Mangione kills the CEO of United healthcare, each of these murders or attempted murders, Covid threatens president's Trump's life, is greeted by millions of Democrats with thubs-ups, videos and texts, with morbid glee and celebration, and malicious gloating.
You never see that same kind of endorsement of killing, or malicious wish for death of a Democrat BY REPUBLICANS, no matter how hated the Democrat.
Conservative news media didn't "quickly [go] to work with whatever data points they could to make him look like a democrat.", this guy did his damnedest BY HIMSELF to toss out his own red herrings to MAKE IT LOOK like he was a Democrat.
And it took months of legwork by federal investigators to prove that this murderer deliberately set up false clues to make his own stalkings and murders APPEAR to be a Democrat. And frankly, if I didn't read the legal case written by Federal prosecutors, and had to instead rely on the 92% Leftist / Liberal anti-Trump/.anti-Republican media, I would still be skeptical of these facts, as dishonest and Democrat-partisan as the news media has proven to be since 2008, and increasingly more rabidly so since 2016.
