I am so urinated off by the DC boards! And I have learned some stuff.

1. Don't say you're glad a character is dead on the Legion board. Not even if it's a joke! Because some humourless weenie WILL take offence because said fictional character is the love of his life and to attack his beloved is worse than murdering his parents and drinking his liquor out an old fruit jar. (Legion fans are just the worst for this sort of thing-Theyr'e like those wacky people who think soap opera characters are real!)

2. Don't put whimsical messages on some abandoned empty board because that board's only fan WILL come along call you names like the humorless crybaby he is and then carry on calling you names 6 months later in ODCUT. I mean Jesus Christ in a pigpen, is he taking it seriously or what? And it was whimsical not sarcastic God damn it!

One day, wow gosh, when I'm the Queen of the Universe...then those weenies will be sorry!

Any more of this %£$^& from Stupid Weenies and I'm going to massacre a busload of nuns I'm sure!

Who said we ever do what you allow man?

For all the shit we get, we do tend to get some intelligent controversy going (unlike JGoldman10 asking 17000 stupid questions.) We also post a lot of normal stuff on places other than ODCUT and OPPT. Face it, you need somewhere to let off steam and play around (why else do you have a Misc. forum here?) Pulling the plug on some troublemakers took away a lot of the energetic and intelligent conversation. I know since the NBs have been at Athanon, I spend a lot less time at DCMB, and I'm still one of the unbanned.

Not me sunshine. I'm totally derailed. Your rationale for banning me was on the basis that I over-posted at the Lobo boards. I was careful to make sure every new topic was on-topic. I was effectively being JGoldman10. Fair enough, I copped my first warning for being offensive on the ODCUTMB, but the second... Never mind. I'm actually doing some work now at my job since I've been banned, so some good has come of it, and been appointed watcher at Athanon because of my (sensible) posting there at the Society for the Perpetuation of Independent Thought. You're welcome to post there, Roberto. I won't ban you

Still, setting aside Closer, Bibbo, Llance and YOTB, there can't be too many NBs left at the DCMBs.

Your problem Indy is that you are entirely too sensible. Post drunk one night and develop a bad rep as a troll, that's the remedy I recommend.

for the most part, franta's right. it IS mostly people complaining about the NBs. but... i gotta ..um.. lay the smack down, n'stuff. i cant let anyone (be it you, me, my dc bosses, or the dc posting public) think that there's any kinda favoritism workin, or, im toast.

plus, as you'll notice, i never really do a PERMANENT ban. just, like, suspensions. a few choices names of the "nb" grouping, however, got me into some pretty big trouble, and, alas... i must continue heaping tons of "smack"... um... down. ... i think.

so yeah, thats the banning situmation. i dont mean to be an asshole. it just comes so naturally!

That'd take the magic away!
Anyway, it was "[This message has been edited by Rob Kamphausen]".
It wasn't really THAT good...

See, now the magic is gone!

Some days urg makes me proud to be his friend. Then there are the days that he steals my beer and fucks my woman. Somedays he gets that backwards.-Lothar

"Those were good days. Sitting around the campfires, eating dinosaur meat, and clubbing our wimmens in the head. I dream of those days sometimes. When Urg would make speeches and lead us to victory over the neighboring tribes. Good days, man. Good days." -Grimm

Quotes from Batman Begins (2005).

Rachel Dawes: I never stopped thinking about you... about us... when I heard you were back, I started to hope...
[Rachel kisses Bruce]
Rachel Dawes: That was before I found out about the mask.
Bruce Wayne: Batman's just a symbol, Rachel.
Rachel Dawes: [Rachel touches Bruce's face] *This* is your mask. Your real face is the one that criminals now fear. The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe one day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Homeless Man: [watches as Bruce Wayne is thrown out of Falcone's establishment] Should've tipped better!

Batman (also referred to as the Bat-Man or the Batman, and additionally as the "Caped Crusader" and the "Dark Knight") is a fictional character, a comic book superhero co-created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger (although only Kane receives official credit), appearing in publications by DC Comics. The character first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939.In the original version of the story and the vastmajority of subsequent retellings, Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a billionaireplayboy, industrialist, andphilanthropist. Having witnessed the murder of his parents as a child, Bruce trainshimself both physically and intellectually and dons a bat-themed costume in order tofight crime. Batman operates in the fictional American Gotham City, assisted byvarious supporting characters including his main sidekick Robin, occasional assistance from former sidekick Batgirl, the police commissioner James Gordon, and his butlerAlfred Pennyworth, and fights an assortment of villains influenced by the characters'roots in film and pulp magazines. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess anysuperpowers; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, and intimidation in his war on crime. Starting 2009, the roleof Batman has been taken up by Wayne's former ward and the first Robin, Dick Grayson.Batman became a popular character soon after his introduction and gained his own comic
book title, Batman, in 1940. As the decades wore on, differing interpretations of the character emerged. The late 1960s Batman television series utilized a camp aesthetic associated with the character for years after the show ended. Various creators worked toreturn the character to his dark roots, culminating in the 1986 miniseries Batman: TheDark Knight Returns, by writer-artist Frank Miller, while the success of director TimBurton's 1989 film Batman helped to reignite popular interest in the character. A cultural icon, Batman has been licensed and adapted into a variety of media, from radio to television and film, and appears on a variety of merchandise sold all over the world.
