Well, one good thing 'bout the newsprint paper is that it doesn't smudge as bad as the magazine paper. There have been a couple of times when I've turned a page and the corner of the image/page smudged. Not good.
However, the big draw back of newsprint paper is that it doesn't, how can I say this, hold the ink as well. I've got back issues of the current run on Wonder Woman and the ink has rubbed off on the opposite page or bled out so the lettering isn't easy to read. But I'm screwed on that because there haven't been any reprints or TPB's offered for the beginning of this run. Which is sad because Perez had some awesome stories and panels that deserve to be redone for more people to see.
SO...if they could come up with a kind of hybrid between the two, I'd be all for it.
