I was asked to give some input/ideas. I did. Unfortunately, none of mine were used due to a lack of pages. Man, if that last issue would have been 48 pages it would have been freaking amazing. Oh well. Whaddya gonna do, eh?

Don't you think it's unfair that you get a credit even though your ideas weren't used? I mean, why wasn't my name in there? I demand satisfaction! Seriously, nice work. Will there be more credits to come?

I also was asked to give input (as I said) and constructive criticism. I wasn't trying to say that if the issue was 48 pages, MY ideas would have made it in there, and THAT is why the issue would have been amazing. There were a few of us that were asked to contribute, and some of these guys had some great ideas. Some that would have been in there for SURE, but were cut because of a lack of space.

Thanks, it'd be cool.
I was mentioned (by name) by Chuck Austen in an interview. Though, the remarks weren't complimentary. That was fun.
AND Frank Tieri dedicated a line in one of his Iron Man issues to me (though I wasn't mentioned in actual issue). Again, not complimentary (he put it in to be a sarcastic ass). Fun none the less. Frank's a good guy. [ 07-27-2002, 05:08 AM: Message edited by: Illegal Machine ]

Not complimentary meaning they were insulting(or poking fun at) you or that they were just mentioning you(like "so and so consulted with me in this issue")?
Frank's a good guy, eh? I guess it makes up for the fact that he's a terrible writer......

I ripped into Chuck pretty well on a message board. Instead of replying to me personally, he decided to make some comments about me in an intreview.
Because he's a coward.
And he knows I'm right.
Just saying.

Yeah, I gave him hell when he was on Iron Man. We were arch-nemesis for a few months there. Fun times. I drew some parallels between his portrayal of Iron Man and Spider-Man. He didn't like it, and in an issue (42?) he threw in the line "Man, I sure feel like Spider-Man right now!" or something similar. He told me to look for a "special dedication" a few weeks before the issue came out.
I still talk to him. Like I said, he's a good guy. Though I'm not a huge fan of his writing, either.
ALSO, I made srue to take a shot at him by asking him if he felt special being mentioned with me in the issue (he was thanked, too). :-) [ 07-30-2002, 04:00 PM: Message edited by: Illegal Machine ]

Don't follow Chuck's work much, not an X-Fan, I heard his War Machine was good, though.

And he damn well deserved it, drove that book into the ground after Kurt's run(which I thought was fantastic).
