All my friends are obsessed with these things. I've played once, and, despite a moderately fair showing, I found it rather enjoyable. Of course, playing as Hulk and Spider-Man helped my chances immensely, but I still got severely trounced. I think you should go for it, 'Haven, especially if you enjoy the RPG/gaming scene. It's a really fun thing and, in my opinion, sure beats the heck outta Overpower...

Damn good fun! MY local shop has games on Saturday and Wednesdays.

I just picked up the Sinestro figure - he's encased in a yellow power construct of a giant!

Only downer is, I don' like the three ratings (rookie, veteran, etc)- I think there should just be one universal one, some are over-produced - I have a load of Wolfsbane & Whirlwind and what's up with these level 5 characters at $120?

I went and bought a starter box and a booster box.....here are the figs I got that I thought were cool

2 blue Docter Dooms
Vet. Thor
blue Hulk (This is a the best lookin fig I have!)
Vet. Logan (He just wearing a cowboy hat in regular clothes that looks pretty cool)
Unique black costumed Spidey.

I also played a game last night. Its pretty cool. I don't think the figures are painted very well. I agree with Roy about the three diferent colors, sounds like a money thing.

Seems like you got a good pickings, Sonhaven!

I started my collection with 3 boosters - I got a Whirlwind and Wolfsbane in each one!

It has to be said that some time has been spent on some of the sculpts - the Hulk in particular. And some are quite crude, I would say there's a 50/50 of the crude/well sculpted figurines!

Frankie - I'm just hoping they'll do a Hal Jordan, in the same vain as Sinestro!

I noticed that about the sculpts as well.

Dav probably has EVERY click thus far made.

What puzzles us is why the Purple Catwoman is listed as a Batman ally but the grey Catwoman is not.

It was explained to me that each color represents a different time in that persons life (Yellow=rookie, Blue=middel years, Red=Veteran) So if the grey catwoman represents the time when she was Batman's enemy and the purple represents teh time when they had thier wierd your-my-enemy-but-I-dig-you faze.

As far as the Hal Jordan huge encased model goes, Roy...........THEY BETTER DO THAT!

The reason figures have different colors is due to what time in their comic book life that hero is. Take the Hulk. The yellow band Hulk holds an Avengers tie. The blue band Hulk holds a Defenders tie. This also holds true for DC characters as well. This gives greater power to team oriented characters over single based characters. Special powers are created through team work. A yellow Hulk works with Thor and other Avenger characters. A blue Hulk does not. Try to create teams and get the most out of your characters.

The grey actually more resembles the current Catwoman, hence my befuddlement.

This game is really cool
If you liked playing it the first time you played
it only gets better once you understand the rules better
and perhaps get more pieces.
I thought the rules where very confusing at first

DC has another set scheduled to be released in May/June
Talk is that it will be named something like Emerald Dawn...or something like that. I also say and advertisement for an Inquest
magazine ( I believe issue #97) and they where talking about a Promo Hal Jordan Piece. It didn't say but I would think it is just regular size but who knows ?

My judgment on the game is.................it is cool.

I've bought some more boosters.........I keep gettin Doctor Dooms like crazy.....I have four blues and three Veterans.

My only complaint is......some of teh models really do look bad.....it looks like no time was put into painting at all.....
