Quote: ManofTheAtom said: There's no such thing as a comic that requieres knowing 17 years worth of continuity, that's a lie that assholes like KK came up with to put continuity down.
So, most of the stuff that happens is irrelevant.
Quote: When continuity's done right, like in JSA or Busiek's Avengers, everything a reader needs to know about past continuity is told to them in a way that makes sense.
Books that don't half as much continuity as Superman does.
Quote: That some readers are too fucking stupid to get it and would rather insult continuity and those that like it because it's easier to them doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the concept of continuity.
"Too fucking stupid to get it"? To get what? To understand what comes before when it's "explained in a way that makes sense"? Do you honestly think that's the problem here? I'm confused because I don't understand because I'm stupid because I like the Silver Age and I hate Man of Steel and I'm an egomaniac and I'm part of a big anti-continuity conspiracy? I wish it were that simple.
Quote: I do wonder why it's so fucking hard for you to understand what the era of comics I prefer is one of constant change and evolution, not repetition and stagnation as the era you and KKK want to see come back (which is what's happening in Superman now).
YOU see that change and evolution. I see it very rarely. Surprisingly enough, the fact that I don't see it doesn't make me stupid (!!!) it only means I have a different opinion than you.
Quote: And no, I wouldn't enjoy or support a new Crisis if it's done out of the fucking mess that Berganza created on purpose.
Such a story should have been planned, not made up to fix what a stupid editor with no idea of what he was doing did.
But it'd be in continuity. It means you have to accept it, because you can't ignore anything that happens in continuity because you looooooooooooove continuity. You can't ignore a part of continuity even if you don't like it, because that would be "pathetic", as you called it when I suggested it. That means you must embrace what's going on with Superman now and what's been happening since 1999, because not doing so would be going against continuity. So the events happened because Berganza and Waid formed an anti-Continuity League to destroy Continuity and bring back the Silver Age because they miss it and don't have money for Archives... doesn't matter. What happened in continuity so you must accept it, and if you don't, you're "pathetic", in your own words.
