I don't care if it's a hoax or not, that Anti-Robin costume looks cool! I hope Jason comes back because there is so much that the writers could do with him! He could be Batman's greatest enemy without even being the one who plots against him! He could be Ra's Al Ghul's ultimate weapon/assassin against Batman but only tangling with the Bat on occassion! Whenever they run into each other of course Batman's going to try and bring him back into the Batman family fold, and who knows maybe one day he will succeed, but it's going to be awhile till Jason ever accepts being Batman's ally again, not until he regains his humanity, which he lost when he died. And even if he becomes a hero again he'll still be an anti-hero (kinda like the Punisher) but I still think he'd be a classic villain in the Batman mythos.

He might even be Ra's Al Ghul's heir apparent! Considering "Death and the Maiden" will be Ra's Al Ghul's last story and Ra's has always been trying to get Batman to be his heir. If you can't get Batman then a Robin is the next best thing especially if you have been molding him in your image and "brainwashing" him into your way of thinking for years.

Actually I think he'll make a great Bat-vilain! I can just see Bruce agonizing over Jason's criminal activities! Jason be a natural foe for Nightwing as well. Judging by the pic though Tim's going to think Jason's a real pain in the butt!

Doesn't the current DCU timeline state that Batman has been around for ten years? If so, he had a year or two solo. Then, you have to fit in all the Robins (Dick, Jason, Tim). It doesn't seem like Jason would be as old as he appears in this pic. Plus, Ra's makes it sound as thought the "violation" of the Lazarus pit has been very recent, which makes it less likely to be Todd. I think someone from DC is playing up on all the internet hype of this story.

Yeah, I think it's a big time red herring. There's no way Jason Todd would be as old as he appears in that pic in DCU time. Also, that head doesn't look quite right. Somebody at DC looks to be having some fun.
Although it would be really cool if it was a ruse by Hush to really fuck with Bats' head. I'd give Loeb props for that.

Isn't grey streaks in the hair a side effect of the Lazarus Pits? And Tim Drake was 13 when he took over as Robin in "A Lonely Place of Dying" and is 16 now. So that counts for 3 years. And wasn't Jason Todd dead for a year before that? So wouldn't that make him 19 or 20? Plus there's Zero Hour and Hypertime now to, so maybe Jason Todd's 21 or 22.

Excellent point, but what if Ra's was lying when he said the Lazarus Pits were "recently" tampered with? What if Ra's is Hush and Jason Todd is his big surprise for Batman? The only reason I say this is because for the Lazarus Pits to work they have to be used right after you die and if Ra's switched Jason Todd's body with somebody elses (say when Jason's body was being transported from Africa to Gotham) and raised him all these years that could be a very good explanation for Jason's age and everything that's happened to him!

I just read it. I got at my store at 3:00 and all 20 + issues are gone. They have it on reorder, but they pulled it out of somebodies pull list for me to have it. Dammit, I was hoping it wasn't him. All the clues were there, though. Little subtle hints it was him like the last panel on page 37 in Batman #610. But I didn't want to believe...

All kinds of crazy clues and herrings thrown around this issue. It was all over the place. What's up with Huntress??? Is Batman being mind controlled by Hatter, Hugo strange, a device elliot planted in surgery, or possibly scarecrow?? What was the microchip batman had in his hand in the cave? What's up with catwoman? Is it J Todd or Clayface??? Is two-face an angel or devil??? What is gordpon's part? Why was lex shown in 617 and why didn't he care about talia??

Many, many unanswered questions and now even more. Hush could literally be any of 10 people or more than 1. They would all be logical at this point. Alot hinges on whether the Lazarus pit was used on Todd, Dent or Elliott or all of them. Who used the lazarus pit??? And is Clayface posing as Todd?
Someone pointed out today that jason said "Life's just a game.." which he also said in Death in the Family...curious. Someone also pointed out the importance of the flashback chess games and how bruce thought the general was the most important piece and Tommy thought the spy was. If Tommy is still alive then who is the spy or spies?
My choices are:
1. two-face
2. Elliott
3. Luthor
4. H Strange
5. Mad hatter
I'm starting to lean more towards two-face or elliott being majorly helped or partnered with hatter or strange....
