Yes, no doubt the chapter in which DC shows just how out of date they are by signing up superstar talent dying to work on their biggest icon and then blatantly refusing to let said talent work on said icon and leaving it to the same middle-of-the-road guys who can be pushed around and micro-managed.
I'm not impressed.

I don't think Morrison would be so excited if they had denied him something. DiDio said there's still more announcements to come regarding Superman, maybe Morrison is one of them.

Like I said, I'll believe it when I see it. And I highly question we will see it.
I will say this, much, though: Even though I have no interest in any of the teams currently announced for the books and won't be buying them, I swear to you that I will not pull an MOTA and criticize the books sight unread. You won't hear so much as a peep out of me regarding their work. I'll just ignore it and move on. If I have anything to say at all, it'll be about DC's policies and stupidities, not about anything in the books.
In short, I promise you that I will not do to Austen and Azzarello what MOTA did to Alan Moore. Fair enough?

If they give Superman to Grant...while it may sound interesting, we'll see. But I want to be there with the mic if it's announced so that I can turn to John Byrne and ask for an opinion.
What would the great 50K Byrne say about Morrison taking over Superman? You have to figure that Grant has at least SOME radical ideas for Supes. And one wonders how old JB might respond to seeing Superman rebooted...

I thought that what Mark Waid was trying to do with Birthright before DC pulled the rug out from under him.
Besides, I recall Byrne, in his intro to MOS, saying that perhaps someday the next person to reboot Superman would have first met the character thru the MOS series, so I doubt he'd be surprised to see his work eventually replaced.
