Supposing Nardo returns, which Legionnaire would you like to see hit by his super-fat-assing power. I'd imagine they'd be stuck that way for about a year before someone finds a cure.

I think a fat-assed "new look" Sensor might be interesting.

Sensor would look like a giant splotchy potato with a woman's torso sticking out of it!

Otherwise...

Guys: Cosmic Boy and M'Onel -- they're always portrayed in so dignified and upright a manner -- let's see you do that with a huge ass!

Gals: Saturn Girl -- so that Tinya and Triad Purple could go around calling her Giant Iron Butt... [...rassamnfrackin...]

I think either TINYA or JO would be funny with the super-fatass treatment.

Could cause even more problems in the marriage!

I think that for REALITY'S sake, there REALLY ought to be an overweight Legionairre.

In Real life, I think more than Half of all Americans are overweight.

Comics should refelect this by having a Few overweight heroes.

Make Ultra Boy overweight. I refrain from using the word "Fat" because it is too judgemental sounding. I got called " Skinny" when I was a kid. I know how crummy labels feel.

Have him cope with it on a daily basis. I have friends who are big, and they have trouble getting on planes and buses due to seats NOT being big enough for them, they are discriminated against just because of how they look, they have trouble finding sex partners or lovers, and it sucks.

So, while I LOVE fantasy, I also like doses of Reality tossed in.

Hope you are All having a Great Memorial Day weekend.

Gates.

Imgine the reaction people would have to him if he was a giant giant bug. [whaaaa!]

other wise it might be interesting to see a female legionniare get fat assed. Especially one who took an interest in her looks. How would she cope? Would others reactions to her change?
Perhaps Chuck could become her "confident"

An interesting victim would be Triad. Maybe she'd only be fat in her combined form, causing her to push the amount of time she spent divided.

Gates would swell up like a well-fed tick...

Or maybe *this* could be the source of Chuck's BB powers, post-boot...

Or maybe only one of her bodies would become fat-assed, and that was determined randomly each time she triplicated. I think the orange and neutral personalities would adapt pretty well, but the purple one would throw a fit... [AAAHHHH!!!]

Curt Swan..... The Great One.... God, I Love his work , still do!!

He joined the Legion only a Year and a Half after I started reading it, around 1966..I emulate his style when I draw superheroes...

He was THE greatest Legio artist, IMO, But that is most Likely cause he drew the Legion that I know and Love Best...the Adventure Era LSH....

That's Jay, I believe, from Jay & Silent Bob - it could be SuperLash's secret identity.

I loved Clerks & Mall Rats - my SO thinks they're awful. He has no taste.

Curt Swan drew a great super-fat-assed Matter-Eater Lad! Remember that time he had trouble getting into his space suit 'cause he was so fat-assed?

My favorite Legion Artists Part 2 :

Curt Swan is My Favorite Legion Artist from the Old Adventure Days. I started reading Adventure Comics with Issue # 312, The Return Of Lightning Lad. You must understand That I am a sentimental middle aged fool when it comes to pleasant things from my childhood, and The Legion and Curt Swan go together like peanut butter and jelly.

But, after my previous Post about Immomen Being Number two, and Dave Cockrum Number Three, I looked up old LSH issues Drawn by Both.

Dave Cockrum's work is fluid, alive, and damned interesting.

Stuart Immomen's work is alive, and interesting, but Dave has that Extra something to his art. I guess if I had to call it something, I'd call it
A creative Flow. Dave Cockrum Created Storm, Nightcrawler, Wildfire, and MANY others. What an awesome imagination!! His figures just sort of glowed. They seemed to possess a life to them.

So Dave is up there with the Great one - Curt Swan. Wow.

Not To worry..Stuart is Still in the Top three!

If Universo DOES return to the Pages of The Legion, I would want him to Super Hypnotize DC into Rehiring Dave Cockrum.

PS - Another Favorite of Mine is Jack Kirby.
Like Dave Cockrum, he created characters, made landscapes look Real, and made machinery actually LOOK like Machinery. Other favorites are : John Buscema, John Romita, Jr, the guy who currently draws the Justice League cartoons, and the Guy who drew the first 10 or so issues of the New Mutants. Sorry, it is very Late here and I don't feel like looking up who they are. Lotta YOU people out there know who I am talking about. :)

Kinetix. As I said on another thread:

She's been empowered, depowered, tailed, albinoed, tattooed, disempowered, bizarroed, mind-numbed, floaty-haired, costumed, recostumed, re-recostumed, emerald-eyed, sci-copped, terrorformed, roboticaned, re-terrorformed . . .

Might as well make her a fatass. They've done everything else to her.

Come to think of it, Tinya just had a kid. You'd think she'd have a little weight on her, without Nardo's help. I know a lot of new moms who might like to know her secret.

Okay, that's TWO votes for Tinya. Let's go, Nardo!

(I think all her pregnancy pounds are in another dimension. After all, the baby just phased out. I know a lot of moms who might like to know THAT secret.)

Matter-eater Lad should get it again! Gos with his power. Would also be nice to see a gal with a less model like physique. Kinetix as somebody pointed out has had everything else done to her.

I respectfully disagree, Beardguy. Shirley, a group like the Legion would have a physical fitness requirement, wouldn't they? After all, super-heroing is a strenuous and stressful occupation. We wouldn't want any of our heroes keeling over from a heart attack in the midst of a mission would we?

All of them. Every single one of 'em.

But especially Karate Kid. I'd love to see how a martial artist would cope with the sudden weight gain.

Cool -- he would be like Sammo-Hung Kid (not Sammo Hung Kid, which doesn't even make sense but is still naughty).
