Surley you are talking about Robert Vaughn, the last surviving member of the Magnificent seven I might add!

Vaughn's performance was my favorite, and probably one of my favorites of any movie.

Interestingly enough, most of the Magnificent Seven have passed fairly recently. Steve McQueen and Yule Brynner, who played the two main characters, died in the 80's(both of lung cancer), James Cobourn died last November, followed shortly by Brad Dexter the next month, then Horst Buchholz(Chico) this past March.

Eli Wallach(graduate of UT Austin), who played Calvera(and Mr. Freeze on the old Batman TV show), is still alive.

Yeah, the night that news broke about Bronson, someone did a post saying, and then there was one. Mentioning how Vaughn was the last of the 7, then posted a link to the news on Bronson.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest seeing the M7 DVD. I rented it in December and watched the extras, after the movie of course. I just cracked up listening to the guys talk about what it was like on set. During rehursals, they'd play cowboys and indians. And there was one scene where everyone tried to upstage the next person. LOL great stuff. :)
