Weaknesses: Being at peak human levels in nearly every category, RM552 has no fear from most mundane adversaries. His weaknesses are primarily psychological in nature. Even though he is a bright person, he has the unfortunate habit of not really thinking things through to their logical conclusions. It has been speculated that his impulsiveness is either a leftover personality trait from his prior life as a normal human, or it is a side-effect of all the enhanced adrenaline coursing through his system.
Background: He has no memory of his childhood. His mind is a blank slate prior to a few years ago when he awoke in a lab in the small eastern European country of Doesntreallyexistia. In the early 90's after the Fall, several scientists fled into the country of Doesntreallyexistia and started up a supersoldier program (those rascally Ruskies!). His name comes from the fact that he's the 552nd "participant" in the program and apparently the only survivor of said program (although there are rumors of other survivors). Through the procedure, he gained enhanced strength, speed, agility, and senses. With those above-mentioned amazing abilities he was able to overthrow the evil scientists (all four of them!) who controlled Doesntreallyexistia.
The people of Doesntreallyexistia were so thankful to him, they named him their new king. He was a good king, a just king, and a wise king.
He's currently a king-in-exile.
We really don't need to go into any details about the reasons behind his banishment, now do we? I didn't think so. Whatever the reasons are, they are between him and his people. I mean, what good is being ruler if you don't have divine right? Honestly, he didn't know it was considered illega---um, next paragraph please...
RM552 is neither a native of the JLR's original universe nor this universe. He is actually a Hypertime variant of Registered Member# 16603 that is stranded in this universe because of the dimensional turbulance caused by the deletion of the JLR's original universe. The fate of Registered Member# 16603 is unknown but it is believed that he was catapulted through the deep recesses of Hypertime.
Motivations: Given that he has a rather dubious history, he (generally) just wants to do the right thing. Of course, the fact that the occupation of superhero allows him to inflict physical injury and/or massive property damage with little or no legal repercussions certainly helped him make his career choice.
