The Indestructible Man

Name: John Randall Grey
Alias: John Eimann

History: During the days of World War II, Nazi Germany worked on PROJEKT UBERMENSCH to create a supersoldier capable of taking on the Message Board Society. However, American spies were able to discover the formula the German scientists were using and destroyed their research. Later in 1943, American scientists under the lead of Dr. Randall Grey perfected the solution and performed one test on it -- on secret service agent (and son of the scientist in charge) John Grey. Other tests failed to provide anything beyond cancer to the guinea pigs, but the latent metagene in Grey's body allowed him to process the formula. Stopping his aging and preventing him from any harm, Grey became a secret agent of the government, fighting overseas while the MBS defended the homelands.

After the defeat of the Nazi scourge, Grey was sent into Imperial Japan and narrowly defeated the Rising Son, Japan's main metahuman champion, securing the time for the atomic bomb that ended the war. Somewhat guilty over the damage he helped cause, Grey remained behind to help the American forces rebuild the nation, serving as protector of the American government there through its duration.

By the 1970's, economic conditions and general distrust of metahumanity led to John's release from government service. He spent the next twenty years wandering the world, until the explosion of metahumans upon the world in the early nineties led to the foundation of the Message Board League. One of their first members under his modern alias, John Eimann aka The Indestructible Man, Grey served to fight evil for six years until a covert ops program asked for his help. For four years, no one in the hero community has seen John Eimann, until he falls into the MBL HQ one day...

Powers: Grey's body produces a force field of unknown proportions that stops any physical harm by slowing the kinetic energy of any force exerted against him. This field is subconsciously controlled by Grey, allowing him to breathe and eat as normal, among other bodily functions. As a side effect, the protection against microdamage has stopped Grey's aging at around 32. The esistance of the feld increases his strength, but only to a slightly superhuman degree. The Indestructible Man can lift approximately 2 tons with proper preparation.

Abilities: A trained secret agent, Grey is an expert marksman and spy, although he rarely uses weapons unless required, finding it unsporting. He learned swordsmanship in Japan, and has had fifty years to practice. His one lacking in with modern technology -- he can't seem to get the grasp of it. He can save the President, but can't figure out how to get his VCR to stop flashing 12 o'clock...

Kristogar Velo

Name: Kristogar Velo

History: What is considered to be "known" about Kristogar Velo pre-Message Board League days cannot be proven. According to the man himself, he was a champion of a planet that no longer had war and crime, so he decided to journey to a world that had need for his talents and happened upon Earth. He sought the MBL and soon became a member, about five years into the existence of the League. Although he was never in a position of leadership, Velo became popular with the public, because of his size combined with a friendly, upbeat demeanor. This was a reason why Velo was graciously accepted amongst his colleagues, as the high expense of the group's operations tend to sour public opinion. Although he's more of an "off and on" member, the masses and the media always link Velo with the Message Board League.

Powers: appears to be none.

Abilities: Skilled martial artist and boxer. Weapons expert, scientist. Carries powerful laser gauntlets, and has dozens of gizmos and gadgets attached to his costume. Reportedly, anybody who asks the specifics as to what the gizmos and gadgets do comes away from the conversation very confused.

The Time Trust

History

The Time Trust is actually the name of an organization composed of scientists from many different eras and worlds, each of whom discovered the secret of time travel. They are the self-appointed governors of time travelling and do their best to regulate it, preventing paradoxes and other phenomena from occurring. In an ironically paradoxical way, they have always existed. Their base of operations is a mythological place called "Time City" which exists in the timestream itself.

In order to watch over the timelines and prevent the destruction of the multiverse through the abuse of time travel, the Time Trust built a legion of androids, each of which is sent to a different era or timeline.

The TTT of the MBL arrived in our time on January 1st, 2000 (Y2K) which was when he first met the Message Board League and joined shortly thereafter. He has been a member in good standing ever since. His name isn't officially "The Time Trust," but people call him that anyway, much to his chagrin.

Powers & Abilities

Due to his being an android from the future made not of metals but of an artificial nanite substance unknown in the present, TTT has tremendous strength, invulnerability, and speed. His computer mind is programmed with a great deal of human knowledge and emotion, enabling him to pass easily as a human from almost any era. Physically he looks completely human in every way. He also possesses sensory capacities greater than that of ordinary humans, such as telescopic and microscopic vision, powerful hearing, and other sensors which can gauge the chemical makeup of the air around him, et cetera. He is a master of disguise, and because of the nanites which compose his artificial body, he able to change his facial features, skin color, and body shape (within reason) to disguise himself as anyone. He's also a great multi-tasker and can perform several things at once.

As an android built by the Time Trust, TTT also has certain chronal powers. He can foresee the future(s) -- futures plural because the future is not a set thing but is full of multiple possibilities and probabilities -- but this ability is limited the further in the future he sees. He can also travel through time at will, though his ability to carry other people or objects through time is limited; it becomes more dangerous with the more mass that is carried. He is also bound by the laws of the Time Trust not to change history or abuse his time travel powers in any way that could harm the time stream or cause paradoxes.

History

Originally a down-on-his-luck beat poet, and sometimes artist, Lance Doherty never seemed to be dealt a fair hand......that's when fate intervened, and granted him an array of powers he never though possible.

Now, given such powers, he is doubtful about his abilities, being the 'rookie' of the team, he is eager to prove himself, but still apprehensive about the limits of his abilities.....

still relying more on his own skill, and ability, than those of his powers, he's more man now, than super-junkie.

Speedy posesses a wide range of skills, all gleaned from an unfortunate laboratory experiment, with an experimental drug, coinciding with a bite from a radioactive oyster.

(at this point in his career, Speedy does not posess the immunity to retcons, that came later when hit by a blast from the Anti-Moderator)

Powers & Abilities

Speedy posesses a unique array of powers, all of which are derived from heavy narcotics. some of which are run-of-the-mill street pusher variety, but others are experimental drugs currently being tested by the FDA, or synthesized in his own lab.

Speedy is an expert chemist, and when high, is a highly effective, and intelligent detective. his powers, vary based on the mission at hand, the availability of the drugs he needs for said mission, and his ability to acquire them. that being said, his power levels fluctuate, and as such, nobody can accurately gauge his regular levels, nor his range of tolerance. However, prior to his encounter with fate, he was an ordinary Joe, his only vice being cigarettes, thus being forced into the seedy underbelly of the city, he has made many friends, and plenty of enemies in the towns drug racket, while seeking to discover the extent of his powers.


Speedy also utilizes a wide array of gadgets, and equipment......these range from small tools, and projectile weapons, to more elaborate constructions, such as the newly christened Smackwagon (at this point, just a regular Chevrolet Astro Van

Being a 'rookie' Speedy has yet to train a sidekick.....

[For the record, this is not, in fact, Speedy from the early days of his career.....after so much had happened, he lost a large amount of his memory, and powers.......they will eventually be recovered, this is just all he remembers, and thus, he's only familiar with a few members of the team.......he did NOT travel through time, it's the same Speedy, he's just kinda.....whacked out right now.....]

Powers: fast, very fast, Flash kind of fast. Plus, light-beam vision and super whistle (a canary cry sort of thing).

Ah, right, he's tall, dressed in a red costume, and has a little son, Eddie, with snakes instead of hairs and a "stone-vision",

His base is in the "Euro cave", under the beautiofukl dreamer castle in Eurodisney. And, yes, he has a super cat (Giovacchino) and a retcon penguin, Bekeneker (notice the new, stramlined spelling).

Grimm

Name: Jeff Grimm

History: Jeff Grimm was a typical '50's rebel kid who idolized Marlon Brando and rock singers and wore your typical leather jacket and such. One day, Jeff, racing with another kid while trying to win the affections of a girl, accidentally ran over an old gypsy. The gypsy's wife placed him under a curse, that anything he touched with his hands would die.

After accidentally killing the girl he wanted to impress, Jeff turned his hands on his own face, hoping to do himself in. Instead, he merely destroyed his face, wiping away all the skin, muscles, and organs and leaving his own skull. Jeff jumped into his black 57 Chevy and drove off, vanishing for years.

He wouldn't be seen again for decades, when he would resurface(much bigger)as a pawn of the mysterious Dr. Yuggoth, who attempted to use him and several other monstrous beings in a plot against the hero known as Gooz. Dr. Yuggoth had kidnapped Gooz's girlfriend to lure him into a deathtrap. Grimm, seeing something of his own story in the younger hero's battle to free his girlfriend, shook of Dr. Yuggoth's control, and turned against him. He vanished in an explosion and was thought destroyed.

He survived, however, and turned up wearing metal gauntlets over his hands and carrying a mysterious axe which seems to be enchanted. He has been working for a mysterious firm in the Southeastern US, hunting down and exterminating paranormal entities. He's been hearing rumors that Dr. Yuggoth may have resurfaced again. Recently, he saw the MBL's ad in a newspaper for new recruits and decided to join up. He still has that car.

Powers: Grimm is inhumanly strong and can seemingly heal from any injury except that which he inflicted on himself so many years ago.

Mxy

Real Name: MXY!
Alias: Max Yezpitelok
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Covered in bright white light

History:

Mxy's place of origin is unknown. He arrived in this earth about a year ago, and the first thing he did was assuming a human form (which he keeps all the time) and then going to clothing store to get himself something classy to wear. He bought a black magician suit there and uses it all the time, occasionally adding a big top hat and a long brown trenchcoat.

Since then, Mxy has been wandering around the planet using his powers to help people (though most of the time he ends up doing the opposite). When he needs to go undercover, he calls himself Max Yezpitelok and alters his appearence to look more normal.

Powers:

Mxy can make appear, dissapear, or alter anything he can think of. He's only limited by his imagination and his complete lack of common sense.
