Dirk opened the door to the van. "God I love small towns," he said as he entered the vehicle and locked the doors. He began to look for the keys as zombies encircled him. "Son of a bitch!"
"Why isn't he moving?" Hill asked. "He's just sitting there. Why isn't he coming for us."
"He'll come. Don't worry," Tayden said while rubbing the sore spot on his chest. Sometimes being human can really suck.
"Mother of God!" Hill yelled while pointing down to the ground below the window. A zombie had found the fire hose and had begun to climb up it. "Zombies can climb? Since when can zombies climb? I've seen hundreds of movies, and zombies never climbed! Never! They are unclimbers! Climbing is strictly forbidden! I call foul!"
Tayden grabbed and pulled Hill away from the window before the zombie, who had now reached the window, had a chance to strike at his prey. The once angel then jumped up and began to poung his fist into the head of the animated corpse. It finally caved in and released a blue energy.
As the body fell, Tayden could see more zombies making their way to the hose. He ran and turned the water valve on. The hose sprang to life like a gigantic snake. The two unfortuante zombies who happened to be on the hose at the time were tosses and slammed against the wall. High pressure water struck and catapulted bodies across the yard of the courthouse.
Tayden sat down next to Hill, who had regained his composure. "I'm sorry about that. It's just...... I've been trapped here so long that....."
"You're doing exceptionally well considering the circumstances," the angel reassured him.
