Help me, guys! I have some kind of sick, twisted desire to put my characters through pure hell in order to see how they turn out on the other side, all in the name of character development! [whaaaa!]

Pete & Chance: For the luckiest guys in the world, they sure have had a great deal of misfortune of late!

Dr. Henry Quantos: He has always been a rational man of science... yet his very belief system is thrown into turmoil when he's confronted with unexplainable phenomenon like the Metatithenai (see solo story for details).

Kit Piper: He's one of the cheeriest guys in the New MBL Universe, yet the one thing in this world that he cherishes most (his daughters) have been put into mortal danger -- he's going through an emotional hell if there ever was one.

And others:

The Time Trust/Tryst: This once-sturdily-heroic member of the MBL turned into a VILLAIN at one point. Not only that, but his successor (Tryst) who is ashamed of the original TTT later finds out that he and the original TTT are one and the same but only at different life periods! [eh?] Holy contortions of logic, I-Man! (Time travel sure can be confusing, eh wot?)

Sir Justin of Camelot: Not yet put through Hell... but there were once plans... [nyah hah]

Griffin / "The Invisible Man": Not yet put through Hell... but he may be an instrument of some others' being put through Hell... [mwah hwah haa]

Calvin Nachtman / "Insomnia Boy": This kid has a pure heart but lives a complete lie every single day! He believes he's "Amazing Lad," fer cryin' out loud, and that he's a member of the heroic team of the "Earth Protector Squadron"!!! [no no no]
