Thanks guys.

Nice post, though. Very funny.
The doctor's made some interesting references. Rubber bands and paper clips are deadly. And never get in a towel snap fight if all you're wearing is a towel. Rules to live by. Why don't you write Dren in somewhere? Like a cameo or something?
The Eurostar special's going very nicely, btw. Kudos all around.

Slow down, Grimm. Slow down. I'm trying to work in as many secret references as I can. There are just too many for me to do all at once. I've got Dren in there, not participating in anything, though. But all will come in time. Ah... the infamous TOWEL FIGHT of 2001. Just so some of you don't get lost, the things Grimm refers to are things from previous role playing experiences. And there are more on the way. [ 07-11-2002, 07:36 PM: Message edited by: thedoctor ]

I'm glad you liked my post! Thanks, everyone! At first I was planning to post the contributions from other posters in individual posts, but then I decided to just add them to my post, to make myself look better ![[biiiig grin]](images/icons/grin.gif)

quote: Supposedly posted by The Eurostar: TTT, I was referring exactly to Quantos log cabin. I don't know if you ever referred to it in the new Universe, but I remeber it from the old one, so I presumed he had one also here.
Yeah, it's a good idea to bring it back for a situation like this.
In the mind of Italians, Canada is only great forest with small and big lakes, so I can only imagine Quantos in a place like that. I KNOW that thera are farm areas and big cities, but for the purpose of the story, just like you pointed out, a secluded place worked better.
Don't worry about it too much. Most of Canada IS "only great forest with small and big lakes" -- the inhabited areas don't really take up a very large percentage of the entire country, which is the third largest in the world size-wise, despite the small population.
I imagine, like Gooz said, that he was there for the week end, or for fishing ( I don't know if Quantos fishes (fishes? Is this English?) but he should do. I think it suits him perfect, for an hobby, to stay away from the computers and the laboratory for some time).
Fishing? Sure. That would suit him fine. I think of Quantos like an older uncle of mine, and that works perfectly. The "North Vancouver" reference should be edited out, though. Just make it "Somewhere in British Columbia, Canada"...
The post takes place "three or four weeks ago" respect the current story. I have explained in my last post why he has not alerted the MBL.
The explanation could work or not, but was the best I coud think about...
Okay. Haven't read the story yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Excellent posts, Euro -- you really researched things, didn't you? Cool.
About the PSI-Unit: I'd like to write their first appearance when they show up in one of the stories. I have some specific ideas about them. Suffice it to say, there are seven members, all of whom are psychics and/or telekinetics, and they're all fairly young, ranging from 10 to 21 years old. Don't worry. He's on the way. And he's bringing a friend.
I just have to find a nice little place for each of them to be worked in. And I think you know who I'm talking about.

Now, how exactly in the hell do you think we are going to be able to "enjoy" anything, when no one here has any idea what the fuck you two are talking about?
Honestly, McFly, why don't you just bring Earth-fucking-2 back while you're at it......
MXY: Thanks chief. It's old hat for me to write godlings. Expect me to take WAY too much advantage of having one around on the team. Almost excruciatingly so...... ![[wink]](images/icons/wink.gif)

TTT: Loved the Turkish/Griffen post. Very nicely done. :)
GOOZ: Great post! Well dialogued and paced. I'm impressed. :)
DANNY: Excellent use of Turkish. Especially loved the sly symbolic "science vs. religion/nature" nature of it all. :)
GRIMM: Great quarry scene! I expect this will become a habit of the two. :)

Hey, Pro, you gonna be home tonight? I might stop by after a while.
Danny, can you make a slight edit to have Turkish arrive back at the apartment, or do you want to just take that as read? :)

I was gone all night. Try me tomorrow night. But, just remember, it's Saturday. I'll be inebriated in some form or fashion all night, so don't expect me to be motivated or socially functional by any means.....

Just have it "as read". There's no point in being anal about the time frame here. We've already jumped a month ahead, and I have YET to show Turkish on his roof. I mean, the guy's probably pretty damn-well moved in up there by now..... :)

Yeah, I noticed. I may stop by for a bit. Some plans on being inebriated myself. Kinda like last night. And this morning.

Lord Rypta is a bad, bad man.
And about Turkish being back at the building... eh... we tend not to be too caught up with exact timeframes... we can skip ahead a few hours, or whatever. Don't make no nevermind. Just take it as read that's it's later that day.

As said by Grimm's post, "The sun was going down. It would be night soon. He wondered if there would be another attack.". The first attack was early in the morning and hours passed before this new attack. In these hours a lot of stuff could have happened
Anyhow, I think the whole time aspact is less important than the actual story, so go post! :)
