I'm looking forward to that new Authority one-shot. I think it's called THE AUTHORITY: KEV, and it's about an ordinary guy who becomes the most POWERFUL MAN ON THE PLANET.

What's his power?

LUCK.

Amazing how banging one's head on the keyboard can produce the perfectly arranged sentence describing exactly what one is doing... now that's luck!!

Quite so.

Anyways, I'm finding it an interesting challenge to write 'That Lucky Bastard' as a non-combatant. He has a body which is more fit for crawling up the side of a building than fighting some big bruiser in hand-to-hand combat, so I'll never write Pete's battles to be very physical (Chance, on the other hand, is more of a 'hands-on' type, a hit-duck-and-run kind of fighter), but the challenge is intriguing to me.

I know that this has often left my character on the sidelines for most of the big battles in the last few stories, but really, all he needs to do is put himself right in the midst of the action in order for his LUCK to work for him. He just needs to stand there and let his enemies knock themselves out.

I must think that the neighbours to our heroes, would be rather irritated by now...with all the screaming and fighting going on.
We need to make amends to the community.

In my latest post in the Nightfall story there's a little something for those who enjoyed the "Disco Steve: The Solo Hours" story... For those who didn't... I'm so sorry...

(I'm talking about the first posts of the story, of course... Nobody like my conclusion!)

Okay, I've introduced the PSI-Unit (P.S.I. stands for Psychic Security & Intelligence) to the story, though they are not solely my characters by any means. Other than what has been described, they're basically tabla rasa, blank slates, so feel free to develop one or more of the characters in the story. I also wrote that at least a couple of them know Sam Dawson and his family from when he previously lived on the island, so there's that.

I just wanted to mention something that strikes me as fairly creepy...

I was looking up the first appearance of my character, "The Invisible Man," a.k.a. "Griffin," to use the date of that appearance as his birthday. Well, I went first to page one of "Hero Revolution [The Tangled Tentacles Of Tiatucurá] #7", which had a date of June 9th, 2002 and was about to use that date (minus the year, of course), when I figured that it would make more sense to use the date from the first appearance of the Griffin of the Old Universe instead.

So I did a search through all the TOMB stories I have saved, and I found that "The Invisible Man" first appeared in story form on page one of "TOMB Code "No" - The Next Chapter". The date of the post? June 9th, 2000, exactly two years to the day before the character's first appearance in the New Universe. And it was completely unplanned to be that way.

Freaky, ain't it? Do any of you ever wonder whether we're actually writing these characters or whether the characters actually exist somehow, somewhere, and we're just "reporting" the fictionalized adventures they really have?

[eh?] [eh... i dunno... ]

Ah, don't listen to me. I need to go get myself a drink...

I have no idea what that means, but I've been snubbed enough times at the annual Kamphausen Awards to easily believe that such was the case... [no no no]

"Young?!" I'll have you know, Mister X, that today (July the 18th) was my nineteenth birthday! I'm getting OLD!! I can hear myself standing up and sitting down!

...or maybe that was the beef chimichanga I had for lunch...

At any rate, got some great stuff for the birthday and went to Red Lobster with my parents and best friend, Ben (my sister was out of town) and flirted with the cute waitress. [biiiig grin] [wink] She gave me ice cream with my free birthday cake (and she's not supposed to... [mwah hwah haa] ).

...prolly should've tried for her phone number...

Ah... maybe next year... [no no no]

No kidding. 19 is still wet behind the ears. I'll be turning 28 in ten days, which is still young.
