Now, TTT, don't start getting like the guy who invented Conan. He said he wrote the stories that Conan told him because the barbarian threatened to kill him if he didn't. Then the dude killed himself. Don't need that to start happening on this page.

So I did a search through all the TOMB stories I have saved, and I found that "The Invisible Man" first appeared in story form on page one of "TOMB Code "No" - The Next Chapter". The date of the post? June 9th, 2000, exactly two years to the day before the character's first appearance in the New Universe. And it was completely unplanned to be that way.

Freaky, ain't it? Do any of you ever wonder whether we're actually writing these characters or whether the characters actually exist somehow, somewhere, and we're just "reporting" the fictionalized adventures they really have?

Ah, don't listen to me. I need to go get myself a drink...

The probability was one over 365. Not one over millions, so I believe it's not so freacking, after all...

Plus, you are "that lucky bastard", no?

Other than what has been described, they're basically tabla rasa, blank slates, so feel free to develop one or more of the characters in the story. I also wrote that at least a couple of them know Sam Dawson and his family from when he previously lived on the island, so there's that.

Guida, Daniela, Stefano, Axel, Devlin, Brianna, Kevin.

I'm almost 28 and I'm still getting carded because of this damnable baby-face I have; I'm constantly mistaken for being 19 or 20 years old. But Canada's legal drinking age is 19 (it's younger in Quebec), so some of them bouncers must think I look even younger.

Maybe I should take up smoking. That ought to help me put on a few years.

::A mystical blue smoke slowly fills the room rising as would the sun on a normal morning. As the smoke gains in thickness, so does a shadow forming in the distance, getting closer in an even pace that transcends time and space. Then he is here, the stranger has arrived. But he was already here, and forever shall be as he is. The purple hue of his eyes breaks through the dense fog, almost cutting it as would a hot knife through butter. He doesn’t speak, after all a picture is worth a thousand words, his eyes are worth millions. He sees now, yesterday and tomorrow as if they were one.

For he lives in all at once.

As a dancer, he moves gracefully through the stream of time, never staying in one place for more than a moment, always watching but never enjoying the simple moments of life. A time-dancer if you will, whom never stops, never hears the roar of the crowd, the respect of those he dances for. Because to most he doesn’t exist, a figure in the smoke caught from the corner of an eye. A tragic soul working to help but never being helped.

Just
as fast
he is gone
back into the
abyss of time to
dance the never ending dance of time.

All that remains is the purple hue from his eyes, which you think you saw but know you didn’t.::

One thing I thought I should point out about the PSI-Unit: Although they're all quite young, the Unit has been in existence for a while now, protecting La Perdita from any and all threats, mostly external ones. Of course, the island is a fairly peaceful one (or was, before the MBL got here... [mwah hwah haa] ), so it's somewhat true that they haven't really "gone public" all that much. But the public IS very well aware of their existence. They've been around longer than the Revolutionaries have been.
