I'm sorry, Euro. Elaborate on what you mean by "square"? Usually I have no problem understanding what you say in English, but you've lost me on this one. [Smile]

We care a lot for them, and as we do for our children

I can understand that analogy.

(as I do, and you will do when will be the moment)

Me a father? Heh. You just scared "Malvana's" uterus closed...... [Wink]
(Swear. She's standing right behind me, and nearly spit her drink on me when she read that! She also hates it when I acknowledge her existence on these boards. Okay. She just hit me in the back of the head for typing that, so, let's move on.) [Big Grin]

Also, I think, just I said some time ago, but without being exactly understood, a "master". What I means with this, is that the person that introduce the story, should "care" for it until the end. I did it for the few ones, and I am perfectly conscious that many thinks that I wrote them all by myself, but I am not saying that I accomplished it well. What I am meanining is that the starter of the story should, when the story seems slow, or too predictable, put some spin, give some direction. Obviously everybody else could /should do that, but for the starter should be a duty.

Without a doubt, I understand that. That's how it used to be, as well. But, the thing is, when we didn't have the privilege of a 'Talk' thread, the "Master"/Starter of the story usually just set the story into play, and then we all half-assed our way across the finish line. Sure, sometimes it was ugly. But, the MAIN thing is, it was FUN! In that, I would get on everyday, with NO idea where we were, where we were going, and how we would get there. And in that, for me, was where the creativity and fun lay. Maybe that's just me, and, if so, that's cool.

Another thing to keep in consideration is that we have some subplots that are about to finally see light. Mxy has finally declared the timing for the "Anti-heroes" story, and I am sure that soon the long awaited EPS-MBL meeting/clash/competition/whatever will happen, so in a few weeks a reinassance for this universe is assured.

Sub-plots are fine. I should know. [Wink] But, the point is, I don't think the sub-plots should in any way dominate the storylines. We're all guilty of this, including/especially me. But, it's not always a good thing, you know?

By the way, I don't think that having a well estabilished cast, with some geography twist, and an history that has diverged from real on only in 1996 is something too complex for a newbye. In the old Universe, I had joined (as Nemo) TOMB very lately, and what got me was the complex stories that you were writing, so much more interesting and FUN than the ones at MBL, altough past history, settings and casts were much more convoluted than our present Universe...

The complexity of the stories is one thing. One thing that I always look for, and enjoy. One thing that I and The Indestructible Man have been accused repeatedly of starting in the first place. I'm all for complexity. But, not to the point of alienating new writers that come into the forum, wanting to get into the action. As for the history being convulated, well, that's just it. It was history, that, while not ignored (well, I guess I ignored quite a bit of it, seeing how badly I miswrote some past characters), is not needed to understand for the then-current story. TOMB was just a set number of writer/characters, saving the world in the oddest fashion possible. That's ALL you really had to know. The current stuff seems locked down into having six MILLION sub-characters. I don't have a problem with supporting cast. Malvana. Mixon Carter. Aggie Fishwilder. Klarion. MAN. I'm right there with you. The thing is, I always tried to move my supporting cast in and out in a rotating fashion, as to not bog down the stories with too much of my own stuff. Maybe I was successful. Maybe not.

Why don't start it you, Prometheus?

OH no. Good try. I am NOT even near understanding this team, location, abilities, and characteristics to help out much, much less begin a story. I'll bide my time until I feel like I've got a grasp on things. But, thanks for the offer. [Smile]
