No, Pro, you interpreted things right. With my post, every now and than Naecken has attempted to "act" normal and usually it is a surprise or starange, as in my post. But I think both posts fit ok together, yours taking place after mine. Also, with Naecken, his personality has shifted much throughout each story (manily because of the multi personalities living within him who have merged together... Right... T5? heh)
I like the new character and sure he can have a spot on the roof. Expect a PM about how he should feel about the 14th floor if he ever "talks" to it.
