To everyone.

After Grimm revealed the name of the red goatee tycoon, I have edited my last post, it should be slightly less confusing now. Please reread it...

Thanks for the compliments Grimm and Eurostar. I just needed a way to introduce Dirk and let everyone get a good idea about how he acts. I hope he can be interjected at the most inappropriate times to do the most inappropriate things.

Yeah, as I told Euro last night, I meant to post that stuff before putting him in the story, but got carried away with writing.

So many characters...hard to keep up...

Either we'll need seperate threads or have the stories go 200+ posts to allow breathing room for all the plots. At least that's my opinion.

I have no problems with subplots...they let us know that there is a world around the MBL, that contiues without them regardless.

Interesting twists for the story. Well done, all. :)

Euro, I really enjoyed the Aurochs character. This team deserves a few worthy adversaries.

"theDoctor", eh? Welcome. I enjoyed Dirk's entrance into the stories. Very "4th MAN" of you (inside joke for all the TOMBers).

It's great that we have so many people entering the team. This will keep two or three people from having to carry the story with MIA writers.

So, the role, so far, would seem to be:

-Sam
-Tobias Christopher
-Danny/HAL
-Naecken
-Pete/Christofer
-Mick/Mxy
-Larry
-Kristogar Velo
-Turkish Stringfellow
-Grimm

SUPPORTING CAST:

-Shirley
-Kit Piper

REMAINS TO BE SEEN:

-T5
-Dirk Bell (sp? Bale? Bell?)
-Aurochs

Is this about right?

BTW, Gooz, nice "Jamie" cameo in there. Heh! Can't KEEP you away from my women, can I? [wink]

Sorry that I have been MIA over the last few days, things all a sudden got pretty crazy and I have been racing through pre-production on a short film I'm working on.

Anyhow, I'm back.

Welcome to all the new additions to the team :)

Welly, welly, well, Prometheus X. Let's play a little game and see if you can guess who this is. (That is if a certain visage of death hasn't already informed you.) Once you crack that riddle, you'll know exactly, if you don't already, where I get my screen name from. And your "4TH MAN" reference wasn't too far off either.
As for you, GoozX, I see that I have a fellow filmmaker, though you seem to be doing a helluva lot more than me in that field right now, in the group. Interesting. I wish you all the luck on your project. And now, off to the story thread so that Dirk can make yet another lasting impression.

For my own part, my subplots can basically be continued separately, though I like how the others have incorporated my villain into the main storyline.

Interesting. Someone wants to play 'the game' with Prometheus. Well, next time I'd advise you to bring the potatoe salad to the party, as you've brought nothing to this one. [wink]

Check-and-mate. I know who you are, my dear "Doctor". [cool] Next time, leave no clues (pssst! Your e-mail address in the profile!).

And your "4TH MAN" reference wasn't too far off either.

Now, are you referring to PLANETARY, or, my old TOMB character 'Dagwood Foreman a.k.a. The 4th Man'? If the latter, then I really don't know how you read any of that stuff. Unless, of course, Grimm has lead you to the Yahoo-Archive site.

Either way, welcome chief. :)

Oh, and, speaking of the Yahoo Archives, a big THANK YOU to TTT for such a splendid log of past adventures. I'm having so much fun just re-reading all the old stuff. Good job TTT! :)

I am totally contrary to separate threads. It's one of the thing that killed last universe.

At Athanon, some TOMB stories were 7 pages, and there each page had 40 posts.

Here we could go to ten pages, before we rach the same numbers of posts.

I would much rather have 200-250 post stories than multiple threads.

But, as some of you probably remember, I always got burned out whenever there was too much EC stuff going on and the focus was all over the place because of an overload of characters and plots. For anyone who recalls the fallout from the Mr. Bucket story I started, it turns out I wasn't alone. I just don't wanna see that happen again. I don't know if that sentiment contributed to the end of the old universe, I wasn't around to see that...

So are we goin' "double-sized" then? If so, cool.

I counted about 15 characters in Pro's post. Truly becoming a LEAGUE.

Pro, I tried to send you something the other day, but it came back for some reason.

The most important part is that the ones using a lot of subplots know what they are doing, and don´t forget any details from past threads.
(I am one of those)
I like to have the time to set a story up, take T5 for instance it took a while for him to get here, then he shows up only to be defeated in a manner that he could never have forseen, but he has a mission that needs to be completed, so don´t think for a second that he is out of the game...luckily he is a machine, so he´s not out for revenge against Mxy. Beimoth the Fist and his three sons are monsters like the ones we have been fighting all along just a tad more intelligent and eager to kill.
Do unto them before they fist unto you.

Consider the picture I posted a few posts back to be Beimoth.

Well, KV, I can honestly tell you that, in the event that I finish the Revolution soon (I'm shooting for the end of next week - i.e. July 6th), the EPS will be playing a much smaller, more self-contained role in these stories. With the adding characters and plots, the EPS seems to be bogging down the mix (especially when everyone is waiting on ME to do the posting). If I'm wrong, I might do a post or two a month, but if I'm wrong... same sign.

"Doctor", welcome aboard. I see another one of Pro's friends has made it among our ranks. What is this now? Number four? [wink] At any rate, Doc, we're glad to have you with us. :)

See? Don't I always contribute to the team? It's called marketing, people! :)

Let's look at some ironic stats, shall we?

First, there was Mordecai. A vampire.

Then, Midnight. An immortal assassin.

Now, Grimm. The "Biker from Hell".

And, Dirk Bell. A.....well, he's wearing a black trenchcoat and fedora.

I see a pattern forming.... [yuh huh]

Why do I always attract the dark ones? Pro was never dark. Turkish isn't dark. Foreman wasn't dark, per se. Malvana wasn't dark. Why the dark ones? Why can't I get people in here that write nice, happy characters? [eh?] [HA! HA!]

Have you not been reading my posts with Dirk? He's definitely not a dark character. I have written a nice... Well, now that I come to think of it, not nice. His manners need a little work. But he is a happy character.

Marketing? I thought it was more like begging! [wink] j/k

"Let's look at some ironic stats, shall we?"

Okey-dokey.

"First, there was Mordecai. A vampire."

Scary!

"Then, Midnight. An immortal assassin."

What? Immoral ass? [nyah hah] Oohh, did I say that?

"Now, Grimm. The "Biker from Hell"."

Excuthe me, that'th "grim visage of death", pleathe. [wink] In all seriousness though, don't take "biker from hell", literally. That's just a quick way to describe his physical appearance.

"And, Dirk Bell. A.....well, he's wearing a black trenchcoat and fedora."

Hmm. Trenchcoat. Fedora. Classic warning signs of a serial jackass! Kidding, doctor, kidding. [nyah hah]

"Why do I always attract the dark ones? "

Dunno. It's a bit like asking why do I always seem to attract psychotic women, isn't it?

"Pro was never dark. Turkish isn't dark. Foreman wasn't dark, per se. Malvana wasn't dark. Why the dark ones? Why can't I get people in here that write nice, happy characters? [eh?] [/QB][/QUOTE]

Well, I attracted Avatar, the moody, constantly brooding mage. I think the pattern is that most of our friends we get joined up have prevalent dark sides (i.e. - [you sunnuva...] ). Still, that's just an observation as of late. Of course, Bibbo was attracted by I-Man (I believe was the case) and he wasn't dark, which essentially blows my whole theory to hell, but it was fun while it lasted... I think... [eh?]

On the subject of subplots: What if someone started a thread keeping track of all the ongoing subplots?

That way, those of you who have a lot going on, can better keep of things when you are writing/posting, and newbies like myself and the doctor, can get a quick idea of what's going on without wading through the archives, though I'm having fun doing that as well.

Well, in the case of Bibbo and I-Man, it's because they are brothers. Either that, or they were the same person. Although, I'd be the last person to accuse them of such, seeing as how Gooz and I caught such flack for so long. So, it is, in itself, a sound theory oh-fearless-leader-sir. :)

DOCTOR: Okay. Maybe the black outfit is what threw me off a bit. I hope Dirk won't be a "dark" character. But, hey, that's up to you. I mean, we DO need some dark ones, as Kristogar is about as close as we get with this team.

GRIMM: I've got to teach you how to work that UBB quote-code, don't I? [wink] Yeah, I know the "Biker From Hell" is just an insta-depth description. But, until I figure out his character, origin, and abilities, then that's how I'll describe him.

I have introduced some new monster/beings, I hope this time they will last more than one post! [wink]

Plese nobody kill Aurochs, at the end he will be "abducted" to the Anti MBL team.

I believe Naecken was trying to summon
Mxy, having Kirk appearing there is way out cool!

Great writing, guys...
