When Dawson's Creek left our humble town of Wilmington, there were many tears, because the economy sucked, and now people would actually have to find real jobs somewhere. But WB liked us. I don't know why. And Wilmington forked up 750K in bribe money to get them to film the series "One Tree Hill" in Wilmington. Or at least the first season.
Tonight is the premiere of the pilot. I don't know shit about it. I heard a call for extras, and I decided what the hell, and went to check it out. As it was, I spent a good 8 hours sitting on my ass on these hard bleachers in the gymnasium where Michael Jordan played in high school. The high school is called Laney, but they changed it to something else. I can't remember what.
Anyways, we were all supposed to either wear red or blue and sit on the bleachers and cheer while they did the same scenes over and over from different angles. I might be on camera for a split second, never saw the final result. If I am, I will tape it, freeze frame, and get out the old digital camera and show you my famous side.
Anyways, watch the show. It's at 9 o'clock. Or, after Gilmore Girls, which is Disco's private time.
