Now that the story has ended, I have some questions to ask.

Does this mean that the heroes have been somehow depowered? Is the cat still alive ( )?
Maybe due to my not being English speaking, but I wasn't able to understand the scope of the story. what has really happened in the future? Why the heroes have been brought there and then they have been returned?
I can't think that this was necessary to have them going to live in the Caribbean
