The End

The stone and shadow castle standing over what was once Thunder City rocks as energy soars through the old brick and high into the air. All fighting throughout the city stops short as the new found life force gifted to the dead is ripped from their bodies, leaving nothing but dust. The energy ripples through the air and breaks through the clouds high above the castle, creating a spiral vortex of color and light.

The ground rumbles with thunder, as metas and humans a like grab onto something to hold them selves up. The powerful winds pound onto their bodies and strike the partly left buildings, crushing them where they once stood.

Rain begins to fall, soaking the pavement, washing away the still wet blood. Men and women, close their eyes and cleanse their souls, feeling once again free. They let the rain wash the blood, sweet, and tear from their bodies.

”Somewhere within this building are three heroes that risked everything to end this…”

Before Daniel could finish his TK message; humans, meta-humans, and MB Corpsmen were also over the rubble, lifting brick after brick.

Sweet poured from the young heroes’ head as he continued to search for his friends, for his family. A hand patted him on the back. Daniel turned, “…zod…?”

The large hero nodded his head and helped Daniel lift a huge slab of stone, which revealed a body. The body was draped in a black coat, a deep cut was through his chest. His face covered was by the dirt and dust from the collapse. Zod ripped off a piece of his suit and wiped the man’s face clean.

“My God,” was all that he could muster, as he looked away.

Daniel looked at the body and than back toward Zod, “What…?” Confusion set in, the body limp on the ground belonged to…
