I have a question regarding beverages. A friend of mine was teaching English in Korea, and came back with a fiance and a bottle of some curious white spirit. He's now married (this was a while back) and I have since inherited the booze.
My questions are these. 1- is this stuff liable to similar to that Japanese distilled grain alcohol stuff (shochu?), because if it is, I'm not touching it. 2- as a lightweight, I prefer to take spirits with a mixer. (I know, I know, what a nonse.) Anyone have even an inkling what's appropiate?
My friend offered no suggestion: the whole time he was there he stuck to some brand of beer that supposedly had formaldehyde in it. he's very wary of this stuff, which doesn't reassure me..."
