Oh well. It was nice talking to you, anyway. BTW: if you haven't gone already, why ""Backwards7""?"

I've just found out that a presentaion I thought was due at 8 AM on the 18th, is in fact due at 8 AM on the 20th. This is good news for 2 reasons:

More time to practice, and

I can go out with all the other wannabe irish types and get wasted on St. Patrick's Day. Huzzah!"

Cool. Itr's always nice to be reminded that I'm not the only coffee drinker on this board. There's something reassuring about that: like I'm part of a schismatic movement, rather than a lone heretic."

Let's be fair though, we all know when you've not been drinking coffee.

Noithing to do with tea (or Lucifer for that matter), but the following cutting struck me as indicative of something or other. I just can't for the life of me say what that is...

quote:

Alan Moore failed to get a namecheck when the Spectator film reviewer wrote that From Hell `might be quite an entertaining twist on the old Ripper tale, mainly because it was based on a graphic novel by some hairy man who is widely thought of in graphic novel circles, wherever they may be.' (Review summary: good twist, bad everything else.)

My new cup of tea is Men with Brooms. This film is absolutly hilarious. I'm not usually a fan of comedies, but I'm strongly tempted to go watch this one again.

I don't know how wide a release this film actually got, but if it's available wherever you may be, I strongly encourage you to go get it. Granted the premise looks a bit odd - a movie about a curling bonspiel? - but the humor goes well beyond curling. Plus, it pokes wonderful fun at the sports world in general.

Go see this film. I mean it."

Just been to see Spearhead a couple of times here in Oz. Everyone left the concert with an enormous smile on their face thinking of nice things they can do for people.

Honestly, it was the happiest, most life affirming three hours I've ever spent.

They're back in the States (NY first I think) 21st 03-2002. www.spearheadvibrations.com

Go see them if you like feeling happy."

Spearhead used to be called ""Disposable Heroes of Hip-hopcrisy"", and put out that excellent song, Television (the rap is jammed filled with stats on how bad TV is for you).

They've mellowed out now. I still like them though."

"Where've I been? Out of the comic loop for a while, but am now back. University work can devour your time something chronic. I have to say though that during the absence, I have hooked at least 7 new people on Lucifer. The only problem is, I can't get them to buy their own. So some of my non TP issues are looking well loved. On a side note, the thing that made me come back was the realisation that I didn't care if I got spoiled..Mike's good enough that I can take pleasure in the writing, even if I know the plot! People keep informing me that they think our erstwhile Headmaster has written himself into a corner..

This is a good thing, because I get to smile enigmatically because Lucifer as a title is all about making you think one thing and doing another *grin*

Also, I've just seen that Mike will eventually be taking over on Hellblazer, something I hadn't know, so yay...John will be back in Blighty eventually. Now, all I need is to get my grubby hands on Grant Morrison's 'The Filth'...*drool*

"Whew...been gone awhile. Nice to see Teabags has been worthy of over 500 random thoughts and responses. This is the real acadamy award winner here folks.

Speaking of acadamy awards, I've made a fairly sizable life decision. I've laid down my marketing hat for at least a year and put on my full time actor hat. With about a year's worth of living money in the bank I'm giving myself that much time to decide if it's something I love enough to get a part time job at in order to scrape by and make a living at. And if I decide it's not worth the hassle, it's back to marketing for me.

I don't mind turning 40 or 50 and living with trying something I love and failing at it, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna live with the regret of never even trying.

Anyway...that's my news. It's good to be back. I hear the school pet ate the shop teacher while I was away. You guy's know he's supposed to be on a 'sciences only' diet. I'll tell you one thing, I'm not gonna clean out his cage for the next little while....yeachhhh!

Both 'Bigelow' and 'Celestial Seasonings' seem to be widely avaible, comparitively priced and at least 10 times better in terms of flavor. Speaking as someone who enjoys tea immensely, Dammit, I'm tired of going to yuppie coffee shops, just to get an overpriced cuppa chai.

Maybe Mike could get the artists to include some subtle ""save the teabags"" grafitti in each issue? [wink]
