You spelled schizophrenic correctly, but used it wrongly (as most people do). It doesn't really mean split personality in the sense you think. A more correct metaphor would have been ""multiple-personality"" (or, for Italians, ""agitated depression"".

Further notes on misused psychiatric terminology, ""manic-depressive"" does not mean ""very deeply depressed"" although people with that condition can be so. It's more about mood swings, sometimes very high (manic) to very low (depressed), but not always.

And don't get me started on ""alcoholic""."
